    Our summer program is located on the
    magnificent campus of Carleton University,
    situated in the beautiful city of Ottawa, the Capital of Canada
    Since 1980, Destination Canada has provided students from all parts of the globe with an unparalleled educational and cultural experience. The principal objective of our summer language program is to offer a learning environment combining education,
    recreation and travel in a safe and relaxed setting. Our educational program focuses on the development of conversational and written English through formal classroom and informal social settings. The weekend excursions which include visits to Toronto,
    Montreal, Niagara Falls and Ottawa are designed to improve the participants’ understanding of Canada and Canadian culture. The diversity of our student body, the quality of our University trained staff, our well structured curriculum, and wide ranging
    activities program unite to enhance knowledge and create friendships and fond memories to last a lifetime

    1. Our program is located on the beautiful and modern campus of Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
    2. We offer twenty-five hours of English instruction per week (maximum of 15:1 student / teacher classroom ratio). Our classroom teachers are all university graduates, and certified classroom teachers that instruct at Canadian schools during the year.
    3. We have two distinct teams of teachers. One group that teaches during the day and another group that manages the after class activities and leisure program.
    4. Organized and supervised sports and activities program 7 days per week, before and after dinner. Students have access to university tennis courts, Olympic size pool, gymnasium and soccer (football) fields. There are also numerous supervised off-campus activities available to each student.
    5. Organized, educational and entertaining weekend excursions to areas such as: Montreal, city Tour of Ottawa, various museums and theme parks.
    6. All you can eat buffet in a modern university cafeteria, 3 meals per day, 7 days per week.
    7. Student enrolment is comprised of individuals from all parts of the globe.
    8. Students are supervised by Destination Canada personel all day and all evening.
    9. Destination Canada offers full medical coverage up to $100,000 CDN per student.
    10.Pre-assessment (arrival) and post-assessment (departure) results are provided to each student. Students attend a formal graduation ceremony with the presentation of a certificate of participation.

    Afternoon activities ............3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

    ACTIVITIES
    The Activity Program is designed to help students relax and thoroughly enjoy their Canadian summer learning experience.
    All interaction between the activity teacher and students is in English and will complement and enhance classroom learning.
    Below are a few examples of the ACTIVITIES offered to the students during their afternoon activities program.
    OLYMPICS
    All students get together with their respective countries and compete against one another in a night of fun and games.
    FOOTBALL/SOCCER
    Carleton University has 4 regulation football fields available for the students to enjoy.
    TENNIS
    Carleton University has 6 indoor tennis courts available for our students to enjoy each and every day.
    CALYPSO
    The Calypso Waterpark offers good, clean fun to our students during the annual excursion to Canada’s largest “Theme Waterpark”.
    The world class water rides and water play areas make Calypso Waterpark a great place for students to cool down and enjoy a relaxing evening with their friends.
