That's what I thought
The inner lighting turns off when the helmet is upright or determines it’s being worn, and then the head torch can turn on, when it is upside down or determines it’s not worn, the head torch can’t turn on (I assume to prevent accidentally turning it on and blinding someone)
I just got mine literally 5 mins ago. I'm checking out all the features and so far I love this thing.

@@blake_1146 thats not how it is in the show, obvioulsy the person wearing it would see through it but not others from the outside
@@VitoBanditoo I agree, they should've tinted it, so that the outside was only reflective, and not see through at all. But completely see-able from the inside.
The tactical light only turns on when the Helmet is right side up for some reason

You can also hold the button down while the helmet is on and it will turn on
And the red lights go on when the helmet is on its back... For exhibition.... Sort of

Red lights came on when you turn the upside-down, the sidelight comes on when the helmet is right side up.. when the helmet is right side up you can toggle the switch so the red lights turn on while wearing it. just received mine today From Big Bad Toy Store it came a month early. I ordered it in November 2020.

I came here to see just how good the visibility would be with the helmet on, but when he busted out the dark saber on us👌🏼❤❤ now that is just top quality showmanship👍🏼

Had to fiddle with the straps a lot. But it is a very good quality for the price.
Edit: Also had to point out that the lights are automatic. They turn on and off depending if the helmet is right side up or upside down.

@@notobi-wan8344 I ordered mine off of the US site for Zavvi. I was slightly late to the game and it was the only place that still had it available. Mine’s saying it won’t ship out until the end of this month 😕

I was super confused by the light FX as well, looks like there's a small sensor inside that detects it being upside down (for the two red interior lights) or right side up (for the torchlight). There's a small rattling noise that I think is what's doing it.
Alternatively for those with big heads, try removing the entire adjustable headset inside, they pop out from either side and allow for more room to slip in your noggin'!
And also the small plastic part you can unscrew at the back of the helmet.

Did you remove the adjustable headband, it should pop out on either side of the interior with a little force. Fits a lot better!

@@josebeltran1822 At least it can fit now, just need to add some padding in there to compensate. Get some helmet pads or liner, or buy some foam and cut to size.

The helmet has to be level like you were wearing it for the light to come on. I just got mine today and it took me a second to figure it out
Unfortunately I had to have my partner saw off the Boba Fett Helmet off my head because it got stuck for the same reasons you just mentioned, it's too small at the bottom. I guess it's the same thing with the one as well...which sucks because I really wanted this one as well. :(

I had the opposite problem. 😂 I bought and shortly returned the Poe Dameron helmet. With my 7&1/4 head I looked like Darth from Spaceballs. 🤣 Thankfully this mando helmet is a better fit.
on the light I found that holding the button for about 5 seconds switched it on
Great video! I was having trouble with removing the helmet's earpiece, thanks for clearing that up! When you get the darksaber though, do you have to fight the delivery man for it?

Yes, you have to defeat your opponent in order to get the dark saber from them. This is the Way.

I had an issue with mine where I couldn't toggle through the light patterns. I disassembled the battery portion and found that the button worked fine on its own and I could toggle through the patterns. So I reassembled it and found that when I tightened the screw just above where the battery goes it caused some sort of short that disabled the button. So I just loosened it a little bit and now the button works fine.

HOW TO TURN ON HEADLIGHT:
When helmet is upside down - interior lights turn on
When helmet it right side up - headlight turns on
Sounds like there is an interior ball that connects different circuits depending on the rotation

I FIGURED IT OUT! The button is NOT one button! It's 3 small buttons. Each of the three buttons controls a different function. Why the hell are they SO small???

Those red light are sensor when you head is inside light turn on easily
Your lights function correctly, you press that selector to select the various lighting FX. This is the Way!

Installing the battery is a real headache. But it is beautiful!
So the red interior lights come on as you put it on, then turn off. The flash light will only turn on when the helmet is right side up.

Yeah, the button and the different lights work all wonky. My red interior lights almost act like they're motion activated. They come on randomly and the headlight only seems to come on when it wants to. Eats through a single AA battery fast!
I can't wait for mine to show up! They won't be available in Australia until June. Apparently, the interior lights, being labelled 'welcome', only work while the helmet is inverted. They automatically turn off when one dons the helmet. My Boba Fett never worked and I hope this one doesn't have similar issues.

just bought this today, disappointed that i can't put it on... why is it so small? the boba fett one fits me nicely :(
Do you have exterior light problems? As a previous person said, the exterior white light comes on only when the helmet is upright and you hit the on button. Hitting the same button with the helmet upside down, turns the interior red lights on.

at least you can get it one somewhat.. My forehead is just stuck on the jaw part... I expected some issues but this helmet is clearly for kids.. Which is odd because of the price tag
i got it on finally. Apparantly you can unscrew a plastic part on the back of the inside of the helmet. Gives enough space to putit on
