Dirt 2 - Rally World Tour (Croatia, Morocco, Malaysia, China, Baja) on hardcore difficulty

- Dirt 5 is being released very soon, so I thought it would be a good time to finally continue my playthrough of Dirt 2. Here you can see me completing the Rally World Tour on hardcore difficulty, which features the longest stage from all 5 rally locations in the game.

In my previous playthrough videos for Dirt 2 I completed all of the X Games tournaments. Now it's time to tackle the 5 World Tour events. There is one World Tour event for each of the 5 main disciplines in Dirt 2, which are Rally, Rallycross, Raid, Landrush and Trailblazer.
The Rally World Tour includes the full version of all 5 rally locations in the game, which are Croatia, Morocco, Malaysia, China and Baja California, giving us a total distance of about 30 km and a total driving time of about 15 minutes.
The hardcore difficulty level in Dirt 2 is actually quite challenging but with some consistent podium finishes I was able to secure the win in the Rally World Tour despite a roadblock attempt by Mohammed Ben Sulayem near the end of the final stage. :P
The quality of the rally stages in Dirt 2 is pretty impressive. There just aren't a lot of them compared to in Dirt 1 or Dirt 3. What you see in this video are basically all the rally roads in the game. All other stages in the game are just short versions of these 5 long stages here.

2020 and the graphics are still incredible. This game was a Milestone like gran turismo 3 in 2001

Even in 2022 the graphics of DiRT 2 is still better than 90% of racing games. Wow!
Legendary game for me.. on par with mcrae rally game. Once i have played it for 12 hours straight. Control is awesome. I use keyboard only.

tbh, dirt 2 was the most realistic rally game made. There was actually other rally cars on rally maps, and they werent ghosted out. This really was the best racing game imo
DiRT 3 had it too though.
Dirt 3 had more rally content and rain effects. I don't remember if dirt 2 had rain weather. Still both are awesome games ❤️

I love this game This is memorable and perfect game I have seen in life
crazy to think this game came out 14 years ago and still looks as good or better than some racing games coming out today. to put in perspective how little has changed in that time, the first colin mcrae rally was only 11 when dirt 2 came out. even the jump in graphics and physics between the first dirt and this was huge and that was only 2 years
back then codemasters had a lot of creativity. they created one of the best rally games ever, such a joy to play. dirt3 was good as well.
and now? fuckin dirt rally where it's impossible to control your car and you are to drive same stages over and over and over again....wtf???? what had happened to them???
Yeah, I also think that Dirt 3 was the last really great Dirt game. It's unfortunate. If you can get it for a cheap price, then maybe have a look at V-Rally 4. It's not perfect (especially the handling) but it's at least a little bit similar to the old Dirt games regarding the variety of race types and track locations. Especially the Hill Climb tracks are pretty cool.

Does anybody knows why Dirt 2 isnt still aviable on steam or anywhere else?
Unfortunately Codemasters often removes their games from sale after some years. Grid 1-2 are gone too and Dirt 3 also. And they never explain why. You can still get keys for Dirt 3 on some third party sites but for Dirt 2 they are all gone unfortunately. :(

@@Paragleiber It’s because the licenses for certain cars expired, you can either do two things:
A: Remove the cars from the game in an update.
Or B: Just simply take the entire thing down.
Codemasters decided to go with the second option, and now: DiRT 2 is no more.
