I remember saving up all the quarters and loose change I could find when I was a kid so that I could ride the "Goldbug" train. We thought that Cosmo looked like Goldbug from the Richard Scarry books. Good times!
That train tunnel always makes me laugh it's five nights at galaxyland in there.
Fun Fact: The Express was manufactured by German manufacturer, Ihle ( Pronounced: E-lay).
I remember that there was once someone talking during the train ride. Of course I was very young when I rode the train so I might not remember it that well.
That train was the best in the fantasyland days. It was always so packed. The jungle Jim was my favourite attraction. My mom would drop me off there and I would play for hours. Where a kid could go wild.
There was part in the jungle Jim where you could climb down and it would get dark and you could see a green alien thing it was cool
I went on that ride one time with my mom and siblings but they took up a cart so I rode in a different cart but the person who was sitting next to me was so fat I had to sit on the edge of the cart and lean outward.
You mean on the bigger side
Sadly all the robots and space style props that were in the tunnels are gone now.
Now its become an ad for Hasbro, a boring ride
Yes, now it has become the Monopoly express
Why is it looking backwards?
oh hey I see myself one the swings w o w I'm famous lol
Bro that's epic
I pissed myself on that ride...
@Gargwin Vinesnake Are U A Boy? ;)
It was better before all spaced up 😕
Am I crazy or was it a horror type train ride before?
monkeyballs117 I have memories of that too! I swear I remember it being a horror themed train years ago , being totally freaked out as I a kid.
@@dylanphillips4315 apparently there was a "haunted cave" near the ballpit area, I was told this by an old employee, but since the train used to drive near the play area and you could see it, could that have been it?
Yeaa!!! I'm looking to confirm my memories as a child of it being horror themed! I remember Frankenstein vaguely and being scared going into a tunnel that was decorated like a house with movie monsters inside???
@@protestandsubscribe yup and it was a classic old train too. It was a tiny steam engine if I'm not mistaken... There were guys dressed up as monsters trying to scare us as soon as the train left the cave mouth... And they said Rahhhh. so I said back to them oh go rahhh yourself.... because I was sitting behind the conductor. For extra space. hehehehehehe The old guy is long gone.... wouldn't mind that as a semi retirement job...
