Have you looked at The Natural Way to Draw (Kimon Nicolaides)?

I have it, but I haven’t studied it. Maybe I should relook at it.

Hey just stumbled across your Channel, you’ve gained a new subscriber! Good content, well explained and not rushed at all. Keep uploading. How long have you been drawing for? As in studying and reading to a decent standard? Thanks

Thanks for the subscription! I come from an artistic family so I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. Recently I was given a box of old papers by my mother and I found a sketchbook I kept in first grade.
I attended art school, but really didn’t start studying Art until I was out of college for a few years. Honestly, I learn more all the time. I feel like I’ve learned more in the last 2 years than all the time leading up to 2020.

@@scottsackett8790 oh wow, cool. I was always pushed into the physical stuff. Only just starting my journey with art not even sure where to begin, have always loved comics though so I guess I’ll be studying the drawing of those and maybe a couple of the Bridgman books also. Thanks

I'm glad you enjoy the video. I think the book was written as a promotion for Marvel Comic, but I still this it has some good fundamentals. Absolutely there are books out there that tackle some of the lessons in more detail. That's why I bring in other books and show how they supplement the material.
But drawing superhero comics is a very specific set of skills and I think this book did a good job of laying down a foundation. Sadly, I believe the industry has forgotten some of the lessons in this book, so I'm not surprised a Marvel editor would discount this book.
Thanks again for watching and sharing your feedback!
