Also how about you do a narrative campaign simulating a chaos invasion of a Imperial system. You could keep track of how many Chaos space marines are in the army and as casualties are taken you slowly run out of troops. That would be extremely awesome and I've always wanted to see that done.
+xhound Must be a piece of shit Ferrari. In a 34k army he has about 10k in models. Yes a lot were pro painted but how much of that painting was free for promoting the artist? Also he has said before that a lot of his models he got used which makes them cheaper than new.
To be fair, Some of it was gifts, and he mentiond that bought about 10,000 pts in a lot format from a guy selling off his chaos so he probably got a discount there. But yea. That is just bloody insane regardless.
I like that you commission a lot of your paint work. Glad to see someone supporting the job, and will probably be doing the same shortly with my armies as well.
That is a very nice looking collection! All minis look fantastic yet hundreds of fantastically painted Citadel minis are such a fantastic site when they're arrayed together.
+Dave Dogge Despite all the topic of dlc.... Total war are a fantastic strategic game series. Posibly it will be the nearest way of polaying warhammer on pc or just on a real time game. i been playing tw games for a half of my life and i love them the mecanics in batle are quite similar to warhammer fantasy mechanics in terms of moral initative terrain unit balance etc....
+Dave Dogge Unfortunately, its divided the TW community A LOT. Some people say that it should go for a more traditional Warhammer Tabletop mode while others are saying that it should be more like other TW titles. Kinda said almost.
I have not played 40K in a number of years I played when it first came out. I was never a big chaos fan. but it nice to see anyone put out a whole army like this it give you such a good feeling to see them all set out. Nice looking army Dave best of luck with it. Now lets see you use it all in one battle LoL.
Picked up a Chaos Defiler in a open box at a thrift shop years ago. Complete. Never built it. Was simply fascinated by it's design. Painted some lead figures quite a few years ago, and like building a model now about once every seven years. So, this whole world is completely foreign to me, but I'd like to watch a game sometime. Beautiful paint work on these. My bias is heavy on distressing, but real, not gummed up. Guitar and film making take up my slack. Point me to a game. Great HD here, but I would have loved to have seen some even closer. That Lord of Skulls caught my eye. Too bad no one has ever made a Tom Waits model kit.
So that's where Eric's army is. Been seeing them for a while in his videos but seeing it all together... wow. he made the best Blue Scribes I ever saw.
This pretty much just sold me on making the jump to Warhammer 40K. lol Amazing collection. I love how everything is painted by different people. It really shows the skills of so many different painters. Thanks for the video.
+Kirk Bushell Actually, we don't really paint our miniatures. Most of those that you see were painted by other commission studios, or purchased off of eBay. -Matthew
+Kirk Bushell plus he mentioned at least some of the figures were painted by someone who is literally color-blind, so a bit low to be criticizing on that front.
StickySauce101 that's hardly a point for or against, because we don't know how colour blind. I'm CB as well (blues and blacks). Doesn't affect painting.
At first glance that is an insane amount of models. Then I thought of all the different armies for 40k and Fantasy that I have, and find I am not far off. You should run a monster Apocalypse game and see how much of the army you can field at one time. Thanks for showing off your collection.
I don't know why this video has 1k likes. He didnt paint or put together this army, its like a trendy girl postng a video showing off a gucci purse she bought. Its just showing off how much money he spent.
Maybe it hadnt occured to you and the other 1% of trolls here that he doesnt HAVE to paint every model for other people to enjoy watching him showcase it. The analogy who liberally apply is only even remotely accurate if you assume that Dave is posting this, and people are watching it, because of the monetary value assigned to it (which by the way during the video I did not even consider, like many people I am sure). Maybe some people like to see unusual things, maybe some people are not just cynical dickheads who just have to cast a critical eye over everything. Lets face it, I doubt most people here have seen that many chaos models in one room assembled like that. I for one did like it, it is an unusually large array of models, and as someone who like miniatures it was interesting to see such a force. Fuck who painted it, its not the point.
Would a table with 100000 magic cards sitting on it get this many views also? They are literally the same thing. An amount of money spent on a collectible game. Its a cool video, I'm not saying it isn't, but there is not this many likes on a kids army that he painted himself, named and made a story, and shows it off. This is just $30,000+ worth of models and painting fees sorted on a table. While its novel, it is NO feat, nor does it have any substance. He didn't put together or paint the majority of these models, and didn't even take the effort to have any of the 5-8 different painters he paid to build and paint these use the same paint scheme. Its money on a table.
Well they're not literally the same are they.... Look you seem like a smart enough guy, I think you know the reason this has a lot (relatively of course!) of likes. It is because the person presenting is a likeable guy (matter of opinion of course) and he just so happens to have a lot of followers due to the whole MWG thing. It is novel, your right, and that is the other reason it has likes......people like novel things.....I like novel things. If I had the resources I like to think I would be careful with having one colour scheme, but hey dave didnt. It really doesnt matter either way. In any case he has, for whatever reason, amassed a shit tonne of chaos models. He also happens to make a lot of videos, why NOT show it....?
You are comparing 100000 magic cards to 34000 points of warhammer miniatures? I am a fan of both and collect both. Not that large amounts of either one, but anyway. They are NOT the same thing.
dude 34000 points of warhammer isnt that much? You dont give yourself much credibility when you say things like that. Even if you do somewhat agree with my sentiment. Besides, I think its just an 'off the cuff' comparison... I doubt he means it in any literal way.
Interesting to see so many commission pieces in there - I've always been of the mind that building and painting is half of the hobby, if not the best half! Horse for courses, sure, but wouldn't mind hearing Dave talk more about that - it seems a lot more common now, to have someone else complete your models, than it was a decade or more ago.
I love the Skarbrand Balrog! GW would never show a model like this, due to their weird LOTR license limitations. You also forgot the custom Beast of Nurgle, which looks great too. As for new additions to the army, I would suggest a few Khorne Bikers, because they can hit really hard, or Slaanesh Bikers, whose Feel No Pain and Initiative 5 make them good alternatives to Nurgle Bikers. Another Beast of Nurgle would be useful too. They are great close combat supporters, especially for Chaos Spawn. Together they make for a surprisingly fast tarpit. And finally, a Skull Cannon or two. They are decent artillery and provide the effect of Frag Grenades for Daemons that can't equip them, including Possesed and Warp Talons!
This is incredible. The only thing I can think of would be more primarchs and the titan you mentioned and this collection could hardly be more complete
As a fellow CSM collector myself all I can say is "Damn that's a lot of models!". I agree with getting more dark apostles though; its funny as hell when your opponent discovers your mobile meat-wall (huge blocks of cultists) are fearless
Mind blowing collection. I just came back to watch this video again. I would personally love to watch the different chaos factions on that table turn on each other and battle it out to the bloody death. It would be awesome to watch the devotees of Khorne grind the lesser chaos factions into a lake of gore. Blood for the Khorne flakes!
This collection is nothing short of incredible, thank you so much for sharing this dude, it's really clear that you've put so much love into these models
Soooo jealous! My biggest army was a CSM army... mostly Khorne...mostly berzerkers (this was 15 years ago). I left my army in So Cal when I moved at the WotC retail store i worked at. So someone ended up with a nice CSM army... i think i had somewhere around 9,000 points... sad I don't have em any more.
As someone who likes to personally paint and kit out all of his models, I have to say I will never have that. At the moment I have 30 cultists and just over 30 marines, and I'd be satisfied with reaching two hundred, I think. Sorry if I sound bitter, I'm just extremely jealous.
Amazing! I love big armies... This video reminds me of my own miniature fascination back in the 90's and early 2000's - man those were the days for giant armies I do believe, however, using Chaos Space Marines as an example, you have many models and units on the table that I would consider a sizable step up from anything in 90's like your dreadnoughts, however, I noticed that many of them were exactly the same, were in the 90's you had generally more leeway and options and my meaning is this - in the 90's having an army with 9 dreadnoughts, you would see more often 9 unique individualistic dreadnoughts due to a number of factors that I am sure you understand. However, none of the models would be as impressive as the new model, but that is it - the difference is in model, and in the 90's the ease in which one could make 9 individual models. I am sure you understand what I saying anyhow. I was way big into miniature collecting in those days, totally fascinated, with a passion for building giant armies. I am hoping computer games are going to take such as the Warhammer universes to a whole new level, and in the process cut out or down on some of the randomness associated with dice, i.e. I long for the day 40K will be like a mixture of COD, Battlefield, World of Tanks, Warthunder, C&C, Civ, Elite Dangerous, and whatever else it is that I have missed. Gamesworkshop have been lacking and faulting for many years I do believe, for they should have conquered the computer gaming industry with their worlds of fantasy, but the truth is that they have not, i.e. you would be lucky to find one title in the top 100 games over the last ten years, when really all along they had the power and potential to have 5 of the top ten spots. But no! Such as Blizzard's offerings and others have conquered Gamesworkshop, so to speak! Peace! You know, my theory on the dreadnoughts may be wrong, but I am sure you will understand what it is that I am trying to say. It is along these lines... I feel in the 90's you had more choice and options to make miniatures unique, however, Chaos dreadnoughts may have been one of those model types that this would not really apply to.
my right ear enjoyed this very much.
+Cogson Rear was sitting with the left ear plug in, and didn't understand why I had no sound until I saw your comment lol

I second that Idea.
Best idea ever.
got to do that!
DO IT MINIWARGAMING!!!
Maybe they could take slaves and a random role out of the total number of slaves whatever the dice roles the become a space marine? Just a thought :3
Dave is a bigger threat to the Imperium than Abbadon the Despoiler... But then again most people are XD.

That would be about 1 chapter in real life... If that's about 1000 models anyway
***** He didn't have 40,000 models, and Warhammer 30,000 is a spin-off of Warhammer 40k with some extra tech from the Imperium's golden age.
we are going to need more guardsmen.....
There is always more guardsmen. FIX THE BAYONETS!!!

That is a whole lot of heresy. Better just lay down exterminatus
"look, the price of a ferrari represented by my models"
Especially when they keep jacking up the price
+xhound Must be a piece of shit Ferrari. In a 34k army he has about 10k in models. Yes a lot were pro painted but how much of that painting was free for promoting the artist? Also he has said before that a lot of his models he got used which makes them cheaper than new.
especially when you account he paid for other people to paint them... jesus h christ. lol
I could buy multiple Ferraris with all the money I spent for weed. so he's not the only one spending his money for a "stupid hobby" xD
Just realized I been watching yall for over 4 years
the $ amount for all those miniatures+commission cost is huge!
To be fair, Some of it was gifts, and he mentiond that bought about 10,000 pts in a lot format from a guy selling off his chaos so he probably got a discount there. But yea. That is just bloody insane regardless.
i have around 8-10k orcs and there is not 6k worth of champions in that army ;)
Warhammer 40,000? For us perhaps. For Dave? Warhammer $40,000 of debt.

Anybody else got no audio for when Dave is speaking? Thumb this up so MWG can see.
I can hear it but it's in mono aka can only hear from right speaker
clawhammr666 me too. only from right speaker :-(
This is definitely Extra Heresy.
+Captain L-Ron *BLAM*, but yeah, all he need is a custom-made model of Cultist-chan and this army's heresy level would be completely off-chart.
GW could've funded a new CSM Codex entirely with Dave's money.
1 day for set up on table, 2 weeks for move them, 1 month for role of the dices. ^^
my right ear enjoyed this

I like that you commission a lot of your paint work. Glad to see someone supporting the job, and will probably be doing the same shortly with my armies as well.
Would love to see more of these from all the other MiniWargamers as well. It's always awesome to see full armies displayed!
34k points, still proxis :D
You sir, wins the internet.
Rexxar_Nor how do points work?
love t see more of these video espically Steve and quirks lists it's always nice seeing model (for ideas and checking out the paint jobs)
Nice army.
Sup3rSaiy3n its nothing compared to yours
These miniatures are so awesome. So detail and good quality.
Cadia, be prepared! The Legion of Dave has many in number!
That is a very nice looking collection! All minis look fantastic yet hundreds of fantastically painted Citadel minis are such a fantastic site when they're arrayed together.
Dangerous to have that many models out in one place. Never know what might happen to them. O.O
+Argentspear Do you store yours in multiple locations? I keep all mine in my game room. Should I send some to friends and family to keep the, safe?
lastdollarfilms keep some in the warp duh
Ive been on the fence with choosing a new project, Chaos in all its glory was grabbing my attention and this has inspired me greatly. Great.
Awesome Chaos army.
Madness.
What an amazing army in looks and size! Really cool to see some models I painted for you as part of this army too.
Needs more Titan.
darkblood626 that’s what I thought
It was these videos that inspired me to start a chaos army. Keep it up.
Beautiful .. anyone looking forward to Total War Warhammer released April 2016 ? it's old fantasy swords and sorcery Warhammer but hey it looks good.
SO much hype for that!
+Dave Dogge
I was until I heard chaos is pre-order. good idea there trying milking as much money as possible.
Richy Hu yes but if you want a tw franchise game it should be with real time batles and turn based campain... without that isnt a total war
Epic army Dave. I collect Chaos for about 5 years now close to 6000 points so far. Love the video keep up the great work
I have not played 40K in a number of years I played when it first came out. I was never a big chaos fan. but it nice to see anyone put out a whole army like this it give you such a good feeling to see them all set out. Nice looking army Dave best of luck with it. Im going to need alot more earth shaker cannons to fight this.
Picked up a Chaos Defiler in a open box at a thrift shop years ago. Complete. Never built it. Was simply fascinated by it's design. Damn that's a huge army.
How much time did you need to put all those models on the table?
lol, was thinking the same
hye didnt. alot of it is done by painters looking for a plug.
7 years to collect them
I was meaning getting them out of their boxes and putting them on the table
TheBouboule1 probably more than a minute
I just started out on the path to Damnation and this just makes me more keen to get painting......great army!
this is inspiring. I'm not sure if it was said but how long did it take just to set up this table full of these minis?
Lots of man hours building and painting those. Awesome Army! Chaos!!!
Who would win, this or one space marine?
lol
Is that one Space Marine an Ultrasmurf?
... How, you're reply didn't show up in the comments section, nor Darklordmatt's reply
Sorry m8 it did
Oh well, don't bother me (much...)
There is jelly and salt gushing from every orifice on my body right now!!! Cograts dave, you make me happier and help me love life.
i wanna see you paint some make models u painted yourself
I find this to be helluva impressive. One truly stunning collection with some damn fine pieces.
.. and you *paid* for that quality? They weren't rejects you found in a dumpster?
This is more than a little impressive: it is absolutely amazing:)! This looks stunning!
what would be the monetary value for 34000 points of chaos figures?
If by value you mean what their worth, around $6,000
Daniel Chiericato This is way over 6k
So that's where Eric's army is. Been seeing them for a while in his videos but seeing it all together... wow. he made the best Blue Scribes I ever saw.
Wait... wait.. how..
How did you afford all this?
Bloodstainer He said 7 years it took him so yeaah its not like he spent it all at once
Josh Hines I know, but when you start counting, this is still hundreds of thousands of dollars.
I think your math is a bit off.
Josh Hines not sure what the prices of 40k is, but I haven't actually given it a count yet, but it should easily pass 100k
Bloodstainer So, you have no concept of the price, yet are quoting one? 100k for that is ridiculous.
This pretty much just sold me on making the jump to Warhammer 40K. lol Amazing collection. I love how everything is painted by different people. It really shows the skills of so many different painters. Thanks for the video.
You'd think that after 7 years he'd know how to paint a decent miniature =\
+Kirk Bushell Actually, we don't really paint our miniatures. Most of those that you see were painted by other commission studios, or purchased off of eBay. -Matthew

***** nothing to do with narrow-mindedness, simply stating an opinion based on what I can see. Art is subjective, afterall.
Wow, I'm just so amazed how many models there are.

how would you transport your models
The warp provides!
lol I would bet
Lots of army bags. :3
BahamutEx Or, or the warp. you don't HAVE to use army bags.
Sexy T-Rex
i mean for those non chaos weaklings :D
Sweet lord of chaos, that is one awesome looking army Dave.
now movment phase.....ah shit
kyle lockton oh god 1 hour for every phase
kyle lockton no the dices he will have to roll will be worse
All the famous guitarists names on some of those bases! Awesome.
Way out of my normal viewing vids. I don't get what the Fuk this even is
The best part of this video is the picture of odyssey from stargate in the background.

The internet has upped the ante for what a "good looking" army looks like, sadly.
Those converted Nurgle Furies are AWESOME!
Whoever painted those noise marines is a metal fan. With names like Lifeson, Satriani, Hammet. Good to know I’m not the only metalhead war gamer
Incredible. Funny, chaotic - awesome - more please.
I love the Skarbrand Balrog! GW would never show a model like this, due to their weird LOTR license limitations.

Very impressive.
i don't even play this game, this is amazing. very passionate about your hobby
Awesome. Not a chaos player but that many models on one table is just awesome.
Just awesome.
My table was nearly as full as yours when I looked through my Chaos ^^
Dad : what 40k chaos army would you want for Christmass Dave ?
Dave : YES !
Wow!
Please find a way to do a battle report / series with all of these models in. It would be an amazing chaos site
It would take DAYS to set up and maybe a week or more to film. No way it would be worth it.
Eipok Kruden
it would be cool if he broke the army up into smaller armies, distributed them up amongst the staff/volunteers and had an epic war!
As a fellow CSM collector myself all I can say is "Damn that's a lot of models!". I agree with getting more dark apostles though; its funny as hell when your opponent discovers your mobile meat-wall (huge blocks of cultists) are fearless
Jealous, Dave!
Thanks for the showcase and make sure you give those thousand sons some batrep love!
I love that the Noize marines are named and they're named after awesome musicians haha
I have an overwhelming urge to just table flip that table. Imagine all those colorful pieces in the air.
After a year away from miniwargaming, Dave's voice, hair, accent, and army all changed significantly.
Just looking at that army makes me happy :')
Amazing paint work!
This is beautiful especially that Krull model
Thanks for the video, this helped me plan on what armies to go into.
Mind blowing collection. I just came back to watch this video again. Love love love love this! More vids like this, please! This and Kris's Eldar are the 2 best vids on MWG!
Dave the gods of chaos frown (smile) upon you and pleas make an update and the same for your blood angels and space wolves and your vids are awesome
An aspiration right here.
I think I'd have an aneurism if I attempted to display my entire collections on one table... I commend you for the effort :P.
I don't think you have enough! you need to double it!
