Yes, I love it, and if you use a woolen yarn, you can soak/stir it in hot water and it becomes a nice, bonded, soft, ropey structure, kind of like a felty rope. I made a pretty dog leash that way. It's sturdy enough for very small dogs (like mine in my pic) I don't know about larger dogs though, it might not be strong enough. Btw, I LOVE your colors!
@Fiber Flux Honestly I want to thank you so very badly my sisters birthday is coming up and I wanted to make her somthing special to show how much I care in these dark times but now I can, with this i can make her a scarf or a cape to wear so i wanted to thank you.
I used to do this all the time as a kid because I was bored and figured it out while playing with shoelaces. Are you telling me what I did in my down time as a 6 year old could've made a hit video on RUclips?
I used to do this so much as a kid my mom started buying the color yarn she wanted to match her home decor. But that was back in the 70’s when it was popular. I learned this in Girl Scouts.
my grandmother spent hours trying to teach me how to knit.... HOURS and i could never learn. you just taught me in 7 minutes haha... how do you make connecting rows? like if i wanted to "finger knit" a blanket
I’ve been wanting to knit for a while but I am young and cannot buy my own materials. This has helped me so much and I love knitting more than I though I would! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much Jennifer! I didn’t have those sticks to knit with, but I’m sooo lucky to come over to this video and learn to just do it with hands!!! Thank you💋💋

I honestly can't complain, she speaks slow enough where I dont need to constantly pause it, nice audio and visual quality, and she has a sweet voice. I like this.
This helped so much! My nana taught us a simpler way to finger knit that made the result very thin and loose, no matter how tight we tried to get it, so this definatly improved the quality of my finger- knit scarves
THANK YOU BEST TEACHER EVER I CANT THANK YOU ENOUGHHH!!!!💕💕💕💕💕 Edit: I was about to question why mine didn’t look like yours, then I realized your yarn is WAYYYY thicker than mine🤣🤣🤣

When me and my friends were younger we wanted to break a world record in finger knitting. We knitted every recess and created a large ball of knit rope, which was around 300 meters long when we quit. We named it Rollie Bollie (as in roll and ball) and I still have it lying around in my closet as a fun childhood memory 😂
This video was so useful ! Your instruction were perfect, but I was wondering how might I be able to make the project thicker ? I’ve got a really long scarf right now but I’d like to make it wider. Thanks in advance for your reply and looking forward to seeing more of your content!

Joyce Hosseini I guess you would need to add a few fingers to your hand? lol
No, actually, I was wondering the same thing.

That is a great question and I'm glad you asked. Kids seem to do better with thinner yarn, worsted weight for example, while adults with larger fingers should probably use a thicker yarn. The yarn I used in the video is a super bulky yarn and that seemed to work very well. Hope that helps!

I used thin yarn, it didn't come out as thick as shown in the video. Mine came out pretty loose too, but I'm guessing that's normal?

Do I have to use a thicker yarn? I've been following the steps as exact as possible, and it still looks weird and ends up in an akward knot. Any advice besides the good old, "Keep trying!"
yeah even mine
Use cord, by that i mean thicker plastic-ey yarn.
Well if you want to if you use thin u can use it again so it beacomes thicker and also im veryyyyyyyyy late
You don't have to use thicker yard this isn't even finger knitting this is finger weaving
