      Yes, I love it, and if you use a woolen yarn, you can soak/stir it in hot water and it becomes a nice, bonded, soft, ropey structure, kind of like a felty rope. I made a pretty dog leash that way.
      It's sturdy enough for very small dogs (like mine in my pic) I don't know about larger dogs though, it might not be strong enough.
      Btw, I LOVE your colors!

    • @fiberflux
      @fiberflux  10 лет назад +2

      That is a great question and I'm glad you asked. Kids seem to do better with thinner yarn, worsted weight for example, while adults with larger fingers should probably use a thicker yarn. The yarn I used in the video is a super bulky yarn and that seemed to work very well. Hope that helps!

    Do I have to use a thicker yarn? I've been following the steps as exact as possible, and it still looks weird and ends up in an akward knot. Any advice besides the good old, "Keep trying!"

    Question.... When I'm doing the row it doesn't look pretty like yours. Its all big and looks like a fish bone, even though I'm keeping it as tight as I can. Help?

      How many fingers are you using? Are you pulling the string tight with your thumb and holding it down?

    To make a blanket/scarf/rug make a super long rope thingy first. Then just fold it and sow it together. I tried and worked out perfectly.
