  • Some large layouts look nice when a train passes a train station with a few people outside but on smaller layouts, you need to add details - people, cars, trucks, signs, etc to make your layout more interesting. And there is a need for balance; sometimes more is just that... more, and not necessarily better.
While a large crowd can work in a city scene, and a small group outside a house, sometimes just one, or two or three people are enough in various simple scenes. I have made an effort to balance out the different scenes with the right amount of people, vehicles and extra details.
My vehicles are a collection of various manufactuers.
Early 1900's (1913-1920's) vehicles are Jordan Highway Miniature kits.
Mid- 1900's (1940''s & 1950's) are Classic Metal Works 1/87 Mini Metals cars as well as plastic cars by Wiking. A few of my metal cars are kits from Allow Forms. All these can be found on Ebay or from other online sellers but I do encourage viewers to support their local hobby shops as much as possible.
