The Easiest Seed Starting Mix... notes from an Irish Garden

I've read loads of different ways to start seeds, but the simplest ways are often the best.
the simplest way I have found so far that works is to mix roughly 60:40 quality compost with perlite... stir them together well, then press them into trays ready for seeds.
It's May at the moment here and things are in full swing.
Seeds stated this way included:
tomatoes
cucumbers
French beans
peas
kale
cabbage
cauliflower
arnica
dill
parsley
sunflowers
marigolds
