How to Make Compost for your Garden
Compost... the best thing we can do for our soil.
Making your own compost at home is easy, you just need the right ingredients, a little bit of space and a little bit of time.
Good compost is made from a balanced mix of nitrogen and carbon, and supports a network of bacterial and fungal life which adds health the soil and helps grow great plants.
In this video I use garden waste, farmyard manure and my super ingredient, home made biochar to make a new compost pile that you can easily copy at home.
The most important thing is to get a balance of green and brown things in there and then leave it for a while to let the micro organisms do their magic.

Cleavers - A Spring Tonic

Cleavers are a common spring shoot, sending long tendrils up the face of hedgerows along country lanes. When we were children we would gather them to throw on people's backs during walks, calling them "Sticklebacks"... They are also a powerful lymphatic system cleanser, supporting the body to drain away the sluggish waste of a long winter spent by the fire. It gives the immune system a boost ju...
