I love the casual shoot out between John and Cassian it was so funny 😂 "nothing to see here, pew pew pew" They really did a great job keeping the action/story interesting, and the same humor from the first one.
Keanu said that he doesn't do 'stunt work' and leaves that to the professionals. For him, stunt work is when someone gets struck by a car, or like when tossed over that balcony in the first movie...that was a stunt man. In this movie he wanted to do that roll down that long flight of stairs in that fight with Common...as he felt it was in his ability to pull it off. However, the insurance company nixed it, and stunt men were brought in to do that fall down those stairs. And not, the stairs were not rubber. :P Keanu, however does his own fight scenes, and like in driving the cars, motorcycles, etc. And he does some of the safer jumps and falls. If I recall, he said he considers those as 'action scenes/work' and not 'stunt work'
@@JayBondReacts The stunt me probably wore some high tech padding, maybe even Kevlar vests like jockeys and rodeo clowns wear??? Even so, like you said, it still looks like it would hurt. Also, in John Wick 2, the scene near the beginning, where his car was getting hammered and John is slammed into by another car, and he is jolted out of the car to land on the ground - that was Keanu and not a stunt double.
That 1 gold coin at the hotel's bar is not only for 2 drinks, but also for the repairing cost of the window glass they broke when they fought into the hotel.
Didn't show it in the edit, so I don't remember exactly, but an indication of just where Winston sits in terms of power/influence/etc is when he's giving his authorisation code on John's excommunicado - it's like 0001 or so. Implies he's been involved for a /very/ long while.

I enjoy that the John Wick trilogy is a series with each film picking up where the last one left off, rather than standalone stories. Looking forward to seeing your review of John Wick 3: Parabellum. John Wick 4 comes out March 2023.

Suppressors on semi-automatic handguns are no where near as quiet as in the subway shootouts. I own several and still wear hearing protection when shooting them. Even if they were that quiet, everyone would notice two guys shooting at each other in an enclosed area. Suppressor usage is my only firearm related complaint in the Wick movies. Also, there are no “regular” gun stores in NYC. For one, handguns are illegal in NYC, except for law enforcement and the extremely rich.
I kinda knew that about the suppressors but I still like the movie sounds. 😂 I actually didn't know about the lack of gun stores in NYC or about the handguns. Thanks for the heads up.

I was thinking it would be kewl if that bodyguard of Gianna who John Wick may have spared the life of, leaving him on the train with the knife in his aorta comes back to pay back for Wick sparing his life and left him with a choice to sit still and perhaps survive

Oh the dogs in 3 made it phenomenal, I always refer to them ss hellhounds as a joke, but they go from these cuddly little adorable companions to furry land sharks, and seeing how amazing the stunt team was to work with them.
To answer your question on how civilians didn't get shot.. Movie logic XD.. realistically, its probably gunna hit a civilian lol.. even with Hollow Point rounds.. which Expand internally/ fragment in different directions stopping the bullets... for those who do not know.
Take a look at "John Wick Directors React to The Honest Trailer!" on youtube, there's a lot of info in that video. (there's nothing to do with the third movie in that video, think it was filmed before 3 was even a script)

These assassins see John wick and suddenly forget their training. I thought Ruby's character would be a solid opponent for him, but she was only there to look pretty.

In the 3rd movie they say it has no monetary value. I've seen a lot of RUclips videos and posts saying a number but they are all wrong or made before the 3rd movie explicitly stated it.

The pencil killing scene was a callback to the first movie when they are telling the story of Wick killing 3 men with pencil in a bar.
The hell with Ruby Rose, the actress that played Gianna was flat freakin gorgeous dude.

They re-use stuntmen by cutting hair and shaving so if they all have beards and man buns it was early in the shoot.

Yeah, pretty much! They built her up like a badass and that fight was so quick.
