good mod, put WIGGA PUT INFANTRY EVERYWHERE, I KEEP FAILING SSDD , AND THE STREETS ARE SWARMING WITH ENEMIES. (I killed about 1200 enemy infantry, while 200 friendly infantry died)

Can someone help me. When I download mods and go to check on them, and play them most of them say. " This Mod Requires Different Game Version. " I don't know how to fix this, did I download the mods correctly?
When you play the game, check what version it is, I aint played in a while so I don't remember if im right but I think it's at the top left, if not probably bottom left. It will say the version that will look like 3.05.20 (that's obviously just random). Now go to the mod folder, click on the mod and then 'mod.info', click 'edit with notepad' and where it says max game version, just replace it with the version the game is currently on. Also, minimum game version, just to be sure. Save. And that should work, its helpful because you can always update a mod whenever you want to.
