In this video I take you around different parts of Kampala showing you what the city looks like in 2023, The ongoing construction works of the Kampala flyover project have contributed so much to the increase in traffic around the city due to the many road diversions around the site.
So if you have an appointment around the city it's advisable to start your journey one or two hours ahead so you avoid getting caught up in traffic

Poor city planning, the government must move critical government arms the Parliament, high court, State House and most government ministries out of Kampala otherwise the problem of congestion will never be solved

I was born in Uganda. But looking at Kampala city today, I'm filled with sadness. Paved street roads look dusty, some streets have bumpy roads, inproper drainage system, many buildings are too old and probably were constructed during colonial days, traffic is too heavy due to lack of alternative roads. So what would be solution to this ? In my opinion, the solution is as follows; 1. Construct new mordern city away from Kampala. 2. Butify current City with mordern paved streets, gardens and proper drainage system. 3. Invest on alternative mordern buplic transport and hence reduce traffic.
