Great reaction! Ok you heard Chance with Home Free and now with The Hound and Fox now you should do his complete solo no backing vocals If I Could Only Fly Driver’s License Song For Home
Yay!!! ❤ This made me so happy to see that you reacted to this. I had a feeling you would appreciate it and I am so thankful Mary ( ? ) made a request for it. It's so good ☺ Thank you!
Chance, Chance, Chance!! The velvet voice! Ty for ur reactions!! Home fry here! U like who u like ! Home Fries can get a Lil defensive and protective! Lol!!!!
I personally prefer the folk genre for Chance's solos -- it suits his lower range so well, and he seems to really enjoy the style. He is such a great member of Home Free -- few people realize what a great bass voice he has. I love this one, and others he has done with Hound + Fox (Reilly and Mackenzie). Your comments have been intuition and interesting, and I enjoy them. By the way, if he is listening, Happy Birthday, Chance!
There is another Chance song that you might also like. It’s new. “Far from any road.” Really different from anything HF does. But Adam Rupp helps out with the sounds plus plays a pretty good base guitar too! It’s very haunting and sticks in my head all day.
If you want more of Chance’s lower register, please react to “I Can’t Outrun You”. I know I’ve suggested this more than once- it’s hauntingly beautiful, pure 5 part harmony, and Chance directed the video. Chance’s projects are amongst my favorite HF songs.
Yes--I suggested that one the other day, as well. Also, I think my favorite of all he does with Home Free is "Helplessly Hoping." Both of those songs were directed by Chance, as well as being led by him. Then there's "Some Girls Do." 😀
....and when they turn around, they sing 'The Sound of Silence' which is also beautifully done. I do think you are right in that when someone is up against singers like Rob, Austin and Tim, it's a herculean task to stand out, plus Chance's voice is not as what?...agile maybe, as the others. It is, however, an absolutely beautiful and moving voice. I love his collaborations with the Hound + Fox. 'Far From Any Road' with Adam Rupp and Mercy Bell is another of my favorites plus I often listen to Chance's cover of 'If Only I Could Fly' (I hear traces of Neil Diamond in that one).
They did a FANTASTIC job on that one. I had a hard time listening to it at the time, because I have a son who was one of those in a world of HURT at the time (thankfully he's come out of that, now).
You need to do a reaction to I can't out-run you.. Home Free cover song... Adam Chance put the whole video together and also lead.. it is absolutely beautiful.. love your reaction 🏠🆓🏠🍟
Love , love , love Chance ... his voice is so sensual , smooth and smoky ... I do think his personality is more reserved than the others . He has a definite flair for dramatic production ( Helplessly Hoping ) ... all of the Home Free guys have such unique individual talents !
I really enjoy "The Hound & The Fox's music. They've done a lot of collaborations with different members of Home Free & other artists. Their voices really suit the older folk style of songs & Chance blends well with them. This is a very old song that has been covered by many famous artists such as Burl Ives, Emmylou Harris & Johnny Cash.
Thank you Mary!! This Home Fry knew you thought Chance was a good singer and I hope my comments reflected that. This song shows Chance's music style. His solo work is simple and beautiful. Check out my fave "If I Could Only Fly". Other awesome collabs with The Hound & The Fox are "Whistling Lad" and "The Sound of Silence". I believe the location is on their property-but not sure. That Hound & The Fox would be a fun rabbit hole to visit to. Thank you for listening to another Chance song, and hope you like the next one as much as you liked this one❤
I don't know if you've seen Home Free's videos "Moonshine" or "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" - Chance has a chance (pun intended) to really cut loose in those. I know you're not a big country fan but I think you'd enjoy Austin's original "Hers Ain't Mine" (audio only - on his channel). I think part of it is that the other men in Home Free have such vivid personalities and Chance is quite subdued.
And then at the end of this song the three of them turn around, as you could see. The camera is moved to the other end of the tunnel and they go right into The Sound of Silence. Because of the positioning they're mostly in shadow for that one. At the end of The Sound of Silence you hear the same "ooohhhh" tone you hear in this one and they turn around to face the other way -- the sunny side of the tunnel -- and they start playing Wayfaring Stranger. So, the two video basically go back to back and it doesn't matter which one was filmed first, or played first, or how many times I play them over and over. Two gorgeous songs played, and sung, wonderfully.
A lot of people, especially newer fans, don't realize that Chance takes over the bass in Home Free when Tim takes the lead. It is very rare that we get a double track of Tim because Chance can take that over even more so than Chris (Adam Rupp's brother) used to.
I just keep thinking that it must have been really noisy in that culvert, with the replay going AND live play at the same time. Echoes and reverb from here to "Jordan". Which is really ironic given that they also did Sound of Silence in that same place.
We will not come for you….haha. It’s ok to have your opinion. Chance is so good. I love him in this one. He has quite a few collaborations with the Hound + Fox. They also do Hurt which I’m a fan of. I really love him in Helplessly Hoping, I Can’t Outrun You and Sea Shanty Medley. They’re excellent and he had the idea and directed them I believe. I can’t remember if you reacted to those. Have a great weekend!🥰
The Hound and Fox are a married couple that have recorded amazing halloween songs and lullabies too. They were the owners of Fifgen films who produced music videos for Pentatonix (Daft Punk Medley) and Home Free(Try Everything, Thinking Out Loud, etc) They were encouraged to produce their own music and it is wonderful. Yes, check out Hurt.
McKenzie and Reilly Zamber are the Hound and the Fox. When they collaborate with our Chance I do believe magic just has to happen. They've been friends for quite awhile and have been used in some HomeFree video's. The Hound and the Fox are a very talented couple in their own right but adding Chance they become a powerhouse of talent. You should check out a another song that they wrote called Whistling Lad. I love Chances quiet demeanor and gentleness but he does have a great sense of humor that he rarely shows. But I'll just settle for his beautiful voice and talent. Glad your enjoying his talents. Thanks for a great reaction.💕💎💕
If you pay attention, at the end of this video, they turn around, and then record Sound of Silence facing the other direction in that culvert. BTW, Sound of Silence is also well worth a listen. Hound and Fox have a lot of great music, and they show up in HF videos from time to time. It's a small world. H&F have almost a Celtic feel to some of their harmonies. Love them too. Great reaction. Lot's of people mention Chance's voice being buttery. What I like is the hint of whiskey in it as well.
So happy you gave Adam another 'chance' 😂😂 (couldn't resist 😜) . I can dig what you said...i didn't give you any shade about it, personally, because I agree with you. He's in the group because he's talented... just isn't always the shining star. And I really don't like it when someone's honest and respectful critiques are shaded upon... because i mean... aren't we here to get your take on the music you REACT to? I hope you are ALWAYS 💯 and don't bend... ✌️
For a while as Chance was integrating into the group he stepped back quite a bit. After he sang with HF for awhile, he started getting more opportunities to stand out.
As someone else mentioned, Chance has gotten more opportunities to shine the longer he’s been with HF. Although I absolutely love Austin’s and Rob’s voices, the higher ranges are not what I want to hear all of the time. Chance has the gritty tone you heard today and a lighter clear one that really comes out in Brothers in Arms-I can listen to him for hours.
This is my all time favorite song....ever....and Chance brought it to new levels of awesome. Love you Jeremy....thank you for playing my heart song. This is my go to when sad and lonely. ❤
Great reaction, Jeremy, thank you so much! I've seen plenty of other reactors feel the same as you did about Chance. To be honest, I kind of felt the same. After seeing more of his work, said reactors have really come to love and appreciate his talent. His laid back style can fool you into thinking he's just there for the background support, but in reality his uniqueness gives Home Free even more versatility.
There is that satisfied look on your face! This is a great song for an introduction. And you’re right in that he doesn’t really stand out boldly with Home Free. He likes the darker-feeling songs, which does change up his voice. Thanks for sharing this today. You’re okay in my books.
Thank you so much and hope you enjoyed your coffee. 😊 I tell you I respect your honest views. And sometimes we all need a different perspective. Lol. I love him in this. His cover of Drivers License is a good one too. Hound +Fox does several songs with him. Their version of Hurt is excellent (I think lol) I watch your channel a lot and yes I'm a total Home Fry but I love all music. Glad you all liked this too. ✌🏻&🩷 everyone
Good reaction! Come Christmas time, you'll need to check out Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer by Home Free. The Zambers make a non-speaking cameo in it. They also are the couple in the HF video that mashes Let's Get It On with an Ed Sheeran song (which I forgot the name of).
I've so been trying forever to get you to listen to this song 😅. Hound and the Fox featuring Chance are many. My suggestions would be Sound Of Silence and The Whistling Ladd. Glad you enjoyed this song. This is one of my favorites
Chance and The Hound and The Fox sounded so good with this song. If you would like...The Good Stuff...Hound and The Fox ft Tim Foust & Jenika Marion (Tim's Wife and it is Official Lyric Video)...We Three Kings...The Hound & The Fox ft Tim Foust...both songs are really good. Thanks
I am just glad you got to see more of him. You are, of course, right; every one of those HF guys are overloaded with talent. At the end of this video, they simply turn around and sing The Sound of Silence. May I suggest "I Can't Outrun You", " Cover Me Up", or "Winter Song".
It is so funny that you feel the need to explain yourself 😅 first of all we all like different things! I did not take it as if you didn't like him, if that is a comfort for you 😄 great reaction as always!
This is really amazing. Adam Chance who has the perfect voice for this.( smooth and sexy voice with a raw edge) That in combination with The Hound & The Fox just sounds magnificent. I like it better than the original. But yes the collaboration between them is always great, just like The Sound Of Silence.(Which you really should watch and listen now that you've heard this one😉)
This was much more to your liking huh? When you said "ya'll" I got so tickled!!! Great reaction young man!!! Loyal sub here loving your channel! Love from Texas🤠🤠🤠
LOL, thanks for the laugh, Donna!! Y'all is part of the vocab I grew up with and it never went away. Thank you so much for the sweet words and encouragement...these comments really do make my day. ✌🏽😎
Yup. Well aware of that my friend. I work in recording or production. The reason I was question it is because sometimes tunnels like that are chosen for acoustics or their reverb. My mouth went faster than my brain though…as it’s quite clear they weren’t recording live. Lol. I just got excited. Haha Cheers my friend!
He's a good singer, but I wouldn't really consider him a stand-out. Great with others, but not like an Avi Kaplan or Peter Hollens to really separate himself. There's my thoughts.
'If I Could Only Fly' by Chance is fantastic.
Completely agree!! One of my favorites!
Probably my favorite of his solo stuff.
Great reaction! Ok you heard Chance with Home Free and now with The Hound and Fox now you should do his complete solo no backing vocals
If I Could Only Fly
Driver’s License

I want to say "This is awesome" and thank you
You need to do a reaction to I can't out-run you.. Home Free cover song... Adam Chance put the whole video together and also lead.. it is absolutely beautiful.. love your reaction 🏠🆓🏠🍟
Yes...agreed!
Hope you get to listen to their ”Hurt”

Any time you have Chance and The Hound and The Fox performing together it is magic!
Agreed!
Now you need to listen to their version of "Sound of Silence" with Chance. Great suggestion Mary. Thanks Jeremy! 🖤🍟

They also did a good version of "Hurt", "Wellerman" and "My Mother Told Me".
As always love your reactions! And I’ve never heard you be negative at all so you’re good!
I understood you. :😀 Great reaction again. I love this one.

I keep hoping Home Free will do a song that Chance can sing lead in his lower register 😀❤️
"I Can't Outrun You"!! 👍🔥❤
We will not come for you….haha. It’s ok to have your opinion. Chance is so good. I love him in this one. He has quite a few collaborations with the Hound + Fox. They also do Hurt which I’m a fan of. Listen to "Far From Any Road". Hauntingly beautiful.
Welcome to The Hound and The Fox - Reilly and Mckenzie Zamber, my fellow Oregonians.
I knew you would like this
I think Chance is by nature and voice control is a ballad/folk music singer. I love him in this persona.
Now if you want to hear more of the Hound + the Fox, they do more with Chance as well as a couple with Tim.
This is a great cover
If you pay attention, at the end of this video, they turn around, and then record Sound of Silence facing the other direction in that culvert. BTW, Sound of Silence is also well worth a listen. Thanks for the reaction =) great reaction, give a listen to Home free cover of "working for a living" when ya get a chance.
Just for fun try HF "Working for a Living"
Adam Chance's voice melts me.
This shows Chance as a Folk Singer. Obviously this is his wheel house.
This is so very awesome! Absolutely love this. Love your reaction!

It's all okay. Chance just created the best version ever...will be played when I'm going home.
You would love Chance singing Cover Me with Home Free as background.
I guess you have redeemed yourself 😊😁
Great reaction, Jeremy, thank you so much! I've seen plenty of other reactors feel the same as you did about Chance. To be honest, I kind of felt the same. Working through the list - thank you for your patience!! So glad you are here - and I've added the other songs. ✌🏽
Chance's brainchild "I Can't Outrun You"
Chance and The Hound and The Fox sounded so good with this song. If you would like...The Good Stuff...Hound and The Fox ft Tim Foust & Jenika Marion (Tim's Wife and it is Official Lyric Video)...We Three Kings...The Hound & The Fox ft Tim Foust...both songs are really good. Thanks

Ah so you did already! Awesome.
Love this performance ❤
Smooth as whiskey!

Wow
If you get back to this try his take on Poncho and Lefty by Townes Van Zandt.
He has his own channel Adam Chance - he has a few of just him
I’ve been trying to get people to react to this for a while….
They sing hurt together
This was much more to your liking huh? When you said "ya'll" I got so tickled!!! Great reaction young man!!! Loyal sub here loving your channel! Love from Texas🤠🤠🤠
LOL, thanks for the laugh, Donna!! Y'all is part of the vocab I grew up with and it never went away. Thank you so much for the sweet words and encouragement...these comments really do make my day. ✌🏽😎
I like his version of Driver's License.
As much as I love this version of this song, my very favorite version of it is by the incredible Emmylou Harris.
✌🏻😎👍
Chance sings a few songs with them.
I honestly think Chris fell prey to the same thing you are saying about Chance.
THE STUDIO TRACKS IN THE CAN ...... are replayed for lip sync visual replication .... so almost always the acoustics are not in play.
Yup. Well aware of that my friend. I work in recording or production. The reason I was question it is because sometimes tunnels like that are chosen for acoustics or their reverb. My mouth went faster than my brain though…as it’s quite clear they weren’t recording live. Lol. I just got excited. Haha
Cheers my friend!
LOL -- a defensive group, huh!?!
He's a good singer, but I wouldn't really consider him a stand-out. Great with others, but not like an Avi Kaplan or Peter Hollens to really separate himself. There's my thoughts.
Chance used to be bass in his previous acapella group (before he joined Home Free in 2016), called Street Corner Symphony, in Nashville, Tennessee.
