Oakland 45 San Diego 22 Scorigami! And still the only NFL 45-22 game on the books.

Will you be going thru the 80s when you finish the 79 season? These are pretty cool

Tried a couple of 80s and had YT issues. If so only to 82. Have a few various weeks beyond that. Who knows??? Will have to do a lot more edits than I already do to make it work.

Why was there randomly a Thursday night game in 1979? That's so strange.

I'm guessing ABC had the World Series that year.

ABC started this in 1978 with the new 16 game expanded schedule. First year they broadcast 1 Thursday Night and 3 Sunday Night contests. In 1979 it switched to 3 Thursday Night and 1 Sunday Night. Don't recall how long that went on for. I pretty sure into the mid 80's if not longer.

I remember in "82 the Chiefs were scheduled to play the Falcons on a Thursday night game and it was like the greatest thing ever since the Chiefs were rarely on TV back then. But then the strike happened and that was that.

These days, the networks would NEVER allow a titanic matchup like Dallas vs. Pittsburgh to be played in the early Sunday window. That game would be slotted either into the late afternoon window or possibly SNF.

It was definitely a head scratcher. But then would we have had a UFO in the broadcast???🤯
