Talking about cards that "disappointed" before the meta has even stabilized in the slightest bit has got to be one of the most clickbait strategies out there.
I'll have to disagree with the recruiter a bit since mh3 made death and takes winrate up a lot compared to before, and we're talking about like 15%. Went from 29 to 44 atm since the release
Would def love the inverse of this! (Top cards/over performers). Eg. Phlage was prob under hyped Those of us who play spike formats def are more interested in the cards that rise to the top
Grixis Shadow is a cool deck, and maybe it's not fully solved for a post MH3 meta now (and fair decks are in a tight spot), bummer that it and murktide (which plays pretty similar) are just not making the cut nowadays
Blue it's worst colour to sacrifice a creature. Flare of denial it's good because every counterspell at 0 cost it's always toprate but It will have more life in commander, same as white flare being like some kind of teferi's protection but free. The 2.4 copies that you're seeing in UR Control are played by Snapcaster's version, I don't think that sacrifice a Caster to do flare makes a Control Player almost happy. Maybe worth, yes, but it is not a comfortable play.
Grixis deaths shadow came in 14th place at the pro tour though…that’s pretty good for a mostly dead archetype. It was running nethergoyf. I think you skipped that on the sidebar of deck lists. Also, please stop using goldfish as meta data…it’s not great for that.
format sucks cause of amalia and rakdos used to be a 50/50 or slightly favored skill matchup, but with the sorin combo, the deck now beats lotus cause it has a fast clock+discard. Before it had discard but the clock wasn't fast enough. Amalia is just faster than us AND they can sideboard in one of hate that destroys us and they have easy access to with their tutors and filtering. Pheonix still lotus favored, but the rest of the format is too hostile for lotus right now. if you want to play lotus into amalia, you kinda need to play the bant version with proctor.
Going to be putting kappa cannoneer into azorious hammer. Upgrade? Sidegrade? Downgrade? Don't know, time will tell.

if everyone plays nadu or necrodominance or boros energy, ofc you won't see numbers for kappa cannoneer, nethergoyf or recruiter ... I personaly play death shadow and neithergoyf is a great addition to the deck
I ran it as a one of in my Dimir Delver deck and it did its job well but the creatures I had at the time were not worth keeping. I am keeping it in my current Delver decklist because it is a good piece of countermagic in late game for me. I will have a boardstate by then and if an opponent threatens a win boom, sac frog or Murktide and counter, turn pass, swing lethal. Highly situational so it might be a sideboard card instead, or I might even replace it with Flare of Malice for the Titan matchup.
@@hioeo thats exactly how im running it in CrabVine, as a sideboard card. along with malice for titan XD. but yeah late game I have plenty of little blue guys to sac it to
yeah N goyf doesn't live up to the hype as it's only your gy, it's the only goyf in this set that doesn't say both gys, wizards is so fucking dumb on card design. Nadu is stupid but mand NGoyf can't be both Gys? lol
@@JustRightPinedo Yep, I use it in Jund, we are still using TGoyf because it's still good,. I can still beat most of the top meta, but Ngoyf is better in Death shadow because it's only your gy. yes it's good, but it's not pushed enough. like Frog or other cards. It's sad as they made it a mythic when it should just be a rare... They did the same thing for Six, not pushed enough. The set should of had more goyfs in the main set, only 1 goyf printed while 3 goyfs were printed in the Commander decks. The card should just be all gys. from how pushed the rest of the set is
@@czairkolmoslink5952mythic rarity probably partially to call back to the initial more flavorful idea of something being “mythic” and the Lgoyfs def embody that well, they’re terrifying. But def sucks for card prices
@@JustRightPinedo Yeah I love Lgoyfs Why I feel like only your gy doesn't work for a mythic Lgoyf, all Lgoyfs should be all gys. it's like their thing. I always find the onces only going to your gy to be not the best. Ngoyf is only seeing play because it's cheap and escape, but it's not crazy good. The price would be higher is it was all gys

Definitely was, same with wrath of the skies. I got in early and I'm up like 4x what I paid for them.
@@Higley1234 nice! I absolutely meant to and real life got in the way of mtg so didn't place my tcg order, 10 days later it was....more expensive.
Surprised ral and ruby didn’t make the list tbh

Going to be picking up some white Flares now that they've bottomed out. By far one of the cards I've been hyped for since it got spoiled.

Dimir shadow? Which creatures donyou use?
The pro tour is not the metagame. Then for flare of denial. Besides merfolk the blue decks don't play enough creatures to really justify it.
Nadu will be banned so the other decks might be more viable.
That flare of denial is meant for dimir mill.
I like the original tarmagoyf better It's starting to make a little bit of comeback
MH3 was poop compared to MH2 I am back to Pioneer already haha.
If anyone took more than 10 seconds that would of realized blue flare is pretty bad... Can only really be utilized by stuff like CrabVine

The whole expansion actually dissapointed 😅

I wonder how they could make a one mana goyf that checks both discard piles without being too pushed
Get a better mic bro wtf
