It’s fun watching these videos where you can tell how much you enjoy the game as you show it. I’m a huge fan of this game too. So excited for season 3!

Right?! Emily, Ryan and I played it Saturday, with the Unknown Monsters and the Relics. In classic fashion for this game, we won on a final turn that was either going to mean winning or losing. The fact that it comes down to that so often is amazing!
YES!!!!! Thank you to CMON and Travis for keeping the Death May Die game alive! (My favorite game of all time... so far)

Glad to see more CMON coverage of upcoming KS are going beyond Quack. While I think he does a great job, it is good to see other channel's views! Travis is a super nice guy too, I had the opportunity to play Kami-sama with him at Family Time Games in Indy back in the day.

Fingers crossed for reprint of the original kickstarter too. It's been happened more. Tainted Grail. Batman City Chronicles. I'm hoping we get the same here, and we have some precedent with Marvel United for CMON. Thanks for the preview. It was great!

I'd like to see some character overlays as a stretch goal or add-on. Pretty stoked about this upcoming kickstarter!
I have some overlays from the original campaign. They work nicely. I would imagine that they might make those available again.
I'm hoping they have double layer player boards to place our tentacles
My guess is they're remain consistent, but hopefully they'll have the overlays available again.
@@meeple those plastic overlays are HORRIBLE. Better than nothing for sure but still horrible. Look at how nicely they do Zombicide and it does not even have to be thick plastic to be good, they could do it with cardboard.
@@amorbavian i have to say i prefere the ones we got in Cthulhu over Zombicide.
I love that the character is closed in in those transparent "cases".
Sure they could be a bit more sturdy and higher quality, but with zombicide i just hate the adrenalin sliders. Im happy that i got the dials of the RPG one in 2nd edition. That makes things so much smoother.

Don't count on it. Expect full transparency and pray your shipping where you are will be reasonable. It won't be even remotely affordable to Switzerland this time. I'm expecting 80 or more, which is means it's a no for me.

Yep im paying $110 for shipping which costs more than the actual game. Ive kickstarted games that were of equal size before for half that price of shipping.

This will be my first KS I ever back. CDMD got me into the hobby and got my first board game group together back in 2020 during the pandemic.
Wow awesome video!!! Super excited for the KS to start. Just finished painting all of season 1 and 2 plus all the extras....felt so accomplished.......i see I'm not done yet
Great to see this vid - cheers! Likely to be my first KS backing though I'm more interested to see if there is additional/bonus material on KS offered otherwise I'd likely wait for retail since I haven't cracked CDMD S2 yet.

Excited for more. Finally cracked my All In and played 4 games, finally won doing S1E2 Tomes of Madness vs King in Yellow. Knew I'd love it.
Let us know what you think of S1E3 if/when you get to that. The flavor each episode brings is one of my favorite things about the game.
If you have the original base game, season 2 expansion and the Unspeakable box, and you are getting the all knowing pledge from this kickstarter, you basically double the number of characters you can play.
I love, love, love this game! Can't wait to back it! My only criticism is there are not enough dice. Will more dice be made available in retail? Or can I add more during the campaign?
Not confirmed, but I'd be surprised if they didn't offer extra dice. I know that the original campaign did.

I am a CMON’er first and foremost. I happened to work on Forsaken before coming on full time at CMOn almost 2 years ago.
The wandering monsters are cool. Are there plans to add cards to include monsters from previous Seasons/Episodes? I mean episode specific monsters that are only used in specific episodes would then gain more playtime.
Hmmm...that is a specific question I didn't think to ask them. They didn't confirm many other details that I can share, but given how this is meant to be able to mix and match with the original, I wouldn't be surprised to see "unknown monster" cards for some of the original monsters too.
Awesome, I'm in the middle of painting my Season 1 Box and seeing more content on the horizon is so thrilling!

Finally got this game off of my shelf of shame last night. The hype was well deserved. Very fun!
Please come to reason CMON and give people an opportunity to obtain the Unspeakable Box. It still can be a KS exclusive, no retail but bring it back in the next campaign
I do not get it, this box is so worthless to be honest. All the chars are so similar to each other, you just do not need them all. If you have the base game and the second big box, you have way enough chars. So why is this box so importsnt for you?

So the player boards are thicker now ? I'm all in for it if so, but it won't match up the first iteration
I believe that was just for our prototype here on the table. I think it's safe to assume that the boards, cards, etc. will all be consistent.

For the first time in a long time, I looked at the video timer and was disappointed it was so close to ending. I love the original DMD, so I can't wait for this to get to kickstarter. I thought the game was difficult already, but I'm glad to see there are options for those who desire an even more difficult game without breaking the game for those of us who are fine with the normal rules.
Love to hear that about ANY of our videos. I know it was likely because of the game we're talking about here, but I can still imagine that it was just our winning personalities. 😉 I would agree with you on the difficulty. I'm likely to still play with and without (at times) some of what this new system brings to the table.
if I don't own any Cthulhu death may die content , will I be able to get a Kickstarter all in pledge from the original campaign on this new campaign?
That haven’t confirmed that yet. I’m sure those details will be saved until the campaign launch.

Was about to ask that myself. If the previous content isn't available, then the KS is a burn. (And no, I'm not talking about the statue.)
They have not yet confirmed whether the original content will be on offer or not. It would be nice of course for the many people who missed out on it the first time. With that said, I thought it was interesting to learn that Fear of the Unknown has parity with the original core box in terms of the contents (same number of scenarios, investigators, etc.) Here's hoping for add-ons for you. @@katarhall3047 All the content for DMD, bar the stretch goals, is freely available at retail. It’s just ALL been re-printed, even.
@@ThePiousFlea Not even close to being true. A ton of that stuff is not available in any of the brick and mortar in my zone. Even looking online they're absent.

How does this integrate with the S1 and S2? Can I play the S1/S2 Scenarios and the S1/S2 Old Ones with the random monsters, relics etc.?
As we understand it, yes, you can mix and match, AND use the new elements with the older content - though details are sparse at the moment.
Thank you for covering my favourite game. I hoped for more content than just 2 elder gods and 6 scenarios. The Iron Maiden minis as an add-on would be great to save some shipping cost.

I’m about to buy a bunch of sleeves for my recent retail version of season one and 2. Are the cards of this new season the same size?
They seem to be exact the same size and art style as the previous editions
They would have to be to be cross compatible
I haven't confirmed with them, but the components in the prototype we had are the same shape/size as the original.

I'd say the tiles are about the same in that respect. This particular episode DID have a few larger rooms though (but there are some small ones).

I'm not sure if he's involved in any way, but one of the lead developers stepped up to fill the role of designer this time, so he and Rob are the leads on the game.

S1 came w just 3 black 5 green. Highly doubt. Get a dice pack, the Frosted ones look great.
I believe this Season 3 box does include everything you need to play, so more dice should be in there.
Just confirming, Eric Lang and Rob Daviau aren’t involved with this?
Rob Daviau and Marco Portugal are the designers of this one. Marco was a developer on the original, and took a co-design role on this one I believe.

There was. It was part of the original campaign. It has the base box, a season 2 box, and an unspeakable box.
When is the launch date???
That will be revealed by CMON in the very near future I think, but as Travis said, it's coming up soon.
Proto and demos are already being showcased so I wouldn't be surprised if it was sometime this month

I love the game, but I wish the player boards were better. Then again, they won’t fit in the box, which is already huge with the games current flimsy boards. It’s just annoying having pieces slide all across those slippery boards. Their solution (plastic overlay) doesn’t even hold the a board well as either the board, the overlay, or both, are bent.
Yeah, those overlays aren't quite a good as more recent solutions for such things, but I certainly still appreciate them. I actually don't have any lift on my original boxes though. Do you?
@@meeple only the season 1 box feels filled to the top. Season 2 and the Unspeakable Box still have some space on top. Though one of those boxes also had the plastic wrap overlays inside, which wouldn’t give a lot for thicker cardboard.

Unpopular opinion. But the more I hear and more specifically see the art of cards and miniatures I think might help me decide to stay on the side of not getting it.
As a 33 year old man I’m not into horror anything. Marvel zombies is my first zombicide and even that I was waffling pretty good wether I was going to pledge or not.
If you’re not into the eldritch theme, it may not be your cup of tea. The gameplay is excellent though.
@@meeple I hear gameplay is great! I’d definitely play it if someone else owned it and went over to their house, I want to keep horror themes away for my kids also in not that keen to them myself. But its mostly horror movies
