Rebels need a troop transport to really make fleet troopers shine. But in the meantime, keep them hidden until you can sneak them within range of something, then let loose. Ideally, I think they should be your Vader killer.
@@TabletopOddity Only the best Star Wars RTS out there. Highly recommended by everyone who plays it. The space battles in particular are just breathtaking especially for a game from like two generations ago.
Only thing I disagree with is Pathfinders. I would rate them as B. They are situational, but if applied properly they can serve different functions. They do work as sniper hunters for me from time to time in addition to early objective harassment and things like that.
@@TabletopOddity I would have to swap them with Wookies. The cost vs survivability (at least in my meta) is too high. Granted my play style could be a factor, but overall I think Pathfinders just have the edge in adaptability vs the Wooks.
Fair enough! It's hard to argue against, I just think Wookies give rebs something they don't have elsewhere, whereas Pathfinders I sort of think commandoes do it better.
I think the offensive power of the fleet troopers and the Pathfinders are heavily over looked. But I'm also the crazy guy that thinks the grenade launcher is really good
Fleets and Pathfinders average 50% more damage pretty shot than rebel troopers. If I'm telling my die faces correctly. Fleets do this for only 4 points more while only having rang two. Where Pathfinders aren't quite as point efficient but have courage 2.
@@TabletopOddity you don't think 50% more damage on average is worth it? I mean I get it that range 2 is a hinderance but proper board design mitigates this. a z6 squad averages 3.5 damage. a naked FT squad averages 3 while saving you 18 points. if you add in the shotgun it jumps up to 4.75 with pierce 1. for comparable points. That is a massive increase. looking at the squads naked isn't even close with the fleets outputting 50% more damage for 4 points more. I'm not saying they are amazing or anything just that no one gives them a chance for i'm not sure what reason. I hear the argument of snipers but how are they any different against snipers than rebel troopers? you are getting wrecked by range regardless. they offensive output is so massively different that I just don't see why they are used. also the math on the pathfinders naked is the same base attacks average 50% more damage. and only .5 damage less against a z6. but the defensive abilities on the pathfinders are superior to the rebel troopers. the illusion that these squads are inefficient for their points just doesn't check out in the math. sorry this is meant more for the forums than you directly... i'll go post it over there so I can be told i'm crazy ;)
What's with the airspeeder ? With a pilot that gives it cover 2 it is an absolute menace to take out without big guns like at-st. Is there any other way to take it out easy that I'm missing ?
It's expensive for what it is. It's not that it can't do stuff, but it is expensive and often hard to play. Also if you play against DLT spam, it will die quite quickly.
Jay Oddity Hi, what is the most commanders in operative star characters can you have an army at one time?like can I have a Han Solo and a Leah commander and then a Luke operative somewheres in the army?

I do think something like this will come but I have no idea what!

What from B tier would you put in C? Like I don't disagree with you, I just put them lower than the rest in B.

They have strong attacks, but they also struggle in other areas. Especially the fleets range 2 can be a killer.

Keep in mind it does consisntently see buffs, I would need to see one played now.
