Needle boosting is mainly for continuing combos from platforms, catching opponents off guard in neutral, and edge guarding. When edge guarding, it’s better not to cancel and throw out the needle I feel like, otherwise it’s super easy to get reverse edge guarded, unless you can catch them with it super quick
In regards to b reversing needles, In the air your parry button will always give you neutral B. ONLY neutral b. Meaning if you're not 100% consistent with needle movement and sometimes get side B (which can be devastating due to its long recovery time), try doing your needle movement with the parry button instead.
@@baker6444 it’s possible with both, I used to use smash stick for it but now I use tilt stick. But I have strong attack set to when I click the right stick in so I do Dacus like no one else I’ve seen
@@corex1287 Not sure there’s an official way to check, however I think sinking over 100 hours combined in the beta, demo, and full release, over 200 lvls of RANNO Grind combined and my daily livestreams grinding RANNO puts me in the 1% of RANNO players. At least in terms of dedication, mechanics and strats with RANNO I think I am, but the best way to know if your top 1% I’d say is by beating insane players in ranked that are or deserving of diamond+ rank
@@collardgreens1275 Only some above 1200 right now so I’m plat. My RANNO mechanics may be 0.01% but coming from someone who’s not even played melee before I’ve been working on my fundies because they’re lacking. Also decision making is really important, even if I know an options better sometimes it’s hard to break away from the muscle memory of a bad habit. What rank are you?
@@Calebanton but yeah I’m gonna keep improving my RANNO and maybe be at Lucks level one day Going live in a couple hours to play ranked (daily livestreams 7pmCDT)

@@Calebanton True!
Great video! Thank you for the tips!
@@yalmerquiroz6444 Thanks, I’m glad it helped!
Great video! A small correction: you cannot hitfall Arials on shield.
@@Phyco_Smash yes, I’ve noticed that and it’s been bothering me this small mistake is said that in this video 😭
you can just run over ledge and press left to grab it, its a bit iffy though
Nice video, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!

This is very true, I use parry button to charge needles with jumps to have as fast as possible horizontal movement
very helpful thank you theovates (top 1% ranno)
Thank you powwu (top 1% comment)
having trouble needleboosting I keep getting either side b when I try to time the runoff
Practice makes perfect
using parry in air will always cause neutral b making it way easier to b reverse
@@a_bit_stale3075good advice
Is it possible to Dacus with tilt stick or do I need strong stick?

@ ok thanks! I’m new so guess I just need to mess around with it. Good to know it’s doable though
@@baker6444 I have to use a claw grip for it (move index to A). Run, flick c-stick to dash attack, immediately roll stick up and hit A to up strong
@@Popsvoice now that I think about it, I use claw grip for dacus as well, pointer finger on X button and right thumb to click inwards on right stick

It’s crazy how shit top 1% is in this game. Coming from a sometimes diamond Ranno, I’m also complete shit lmao
Like luck is playing an entirely different game from us
