I've looked at several of your tutorials in the last couple of weeks and they're really clear and spot on the information I've been looking for. Thank you!
Thanks Mike , I have been struggling a bit with how to auto duck in Adobe Audition. Glad I found this in your list of tutorials as it’s helped me understand better the way auto ducking works 👏
Awesome feature. Thanks Mike. I just wish that Adobe didn't force us to rent their software. I like to buy and own software which is why I'm still on CS6.
One of the things I like about side chaining with dynamics processing is the ability to adjust the frequencies that get attenuated. this can reduce some of the pumping affect that both side chaining and auto ducking leaves behind. I have also experimented with applying and FFT filter to the music track, carving out the frequencies I want to attenuate and then using automation to lower the music when a voice or other element mixed in.
Yes, in Adobe Audition, you can use a multiband compressor with sidechain input to selectively lower specific frequencies during speech, incorporating EQ within the ducking process.

@@MikeRussell What happens if I say I'm using Pro Q, & I want to duck certain frequencies?
Thank you so much. I love you brother.❤
You're welcome! I'm glad you found the tutorial helpful. ❤️
Is it possible to include an EQ in the ducking that lowers certain frequencies during speech?

Hello Mike, for me sidechainning is the winner, in my ears sound more pleasant.
Thanks for adding!
Audio Ducbaing is so much better in Audition than Premiere, did anyone notice?
I'd this feature in CS6? I finally left 3.0 to CS6. Thanks
No, CC only.
Why won’t anybody give a clear one sentence definition of both terms.
