Hey, we know these guys are working hard and we respect that hustle. But, seriously now, someone has to call them out on this.

I like the "reaction video" in the sense of learning from others, and I applaud you for not belittling the others. Well done.
Are you seeing a growing trend in Wyoming for oil pipe fence?

    re: Latch placement.
Looks like the pavers on the ground are set to tire width which implies to me backing in a trailer / vehicle through gate opening thus the placement of the latch as to not have a bar sticking out into said opening, eliminating the possibility of DIY pin stripe.

I love your videos. I commend you for your looking at other installers, foreign and domestic, and not only understand whats wrong and right, but show options how you would do it and why. You have easy logical explanations and are not afraid to learn other methods or use of hardware. You make it entertaining to watch your videos even though I will never need a fence. Thanks. Are you 3 Brothers?

@@SWiFence the fact that you left it in the video, speaks to your genuine character. A lesson I need to do in my videos!!

Couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve had the exact same wheel conversation with customers trying to say the gate needs a wheel. I tell them the same thing, if a gate needs a wheel it was built incorrectly.

Awesome job on how you educate the public. I have a master carpenter, who is also a furniture maker I just got done making 4-40 pound soffit wall brackets from my cover your pergola so they’ll be never any question about swaying, bending, bowing wind and so on.

Do you guys have a computer program you recommend for sketching up projects like gates. I'd like to have a proper blueprint plan for my welder and customers.

Hey guys, love your content and how insightful it is!
Using the fencemaster posts, what’s the longest you’d go on a 7’ tall, horizontal swing gate?
Assuming proper bracing on the gate with compression and the tension, anti-lag system detailed in your videos. Could also go with metal bracing as mentioned in your video of the woodworker making that like 12’ long gate.
    Would love some input! Thanks!!

      @SWiFence  6 месяцев назад

You could do about 4', but if you decide to double-up your postmasters, you could probably accommodate up to 6'.

I saw there was a typo. It’s a 6’ tall fence, not 7, but what post setup would you recommend for an 8’ swing gate?
Can do 2 gates if needed, but would prefer one.

4" SS40 pipe or 1/4" wall square tubing

The strength of the posts will absolutely not be an issue either. I don't think you guys are considering the concrete slab that is holding it in place as well. You are much more knowledgeable than me in fence building areas. I mainly have concrete guy. I will definitely get a hold of you on my next gate bill to get your opinion on it. It's been about seven months by the way and the gates holding very strong.

This video wasn’t meant to attack you in any way. We understand that there are factors we don’t know about such as customer budget. Our goal is only to entertain and educate. Obviously you have a following and we only aim to shed lights on ways to improve on what you did so that if others are watching they can have a better idea of how to install a top notch gate system. Because gates are the part of the fence that the customers interact with, they are especially important. They are also the number one call back. Keep up the good work and again we applaud you and your wife for your work ethic and hustle mentality. Cheers!

Also, there is zero chance of that gate, shutting too fast. The reasoning for the wheel on the gate was because it has a huge slope up right where the gate shuts so instead of having a 90 pound lady have to struggle closing the gate she just push on it and the wheel wall roll the last 5 inches
