    Amazing playing. I'm sure you can even make the cardboard box where the pedal comes sound great. Glad I found this channel.

    Wow this thing really does play the blues. Very impressed. All Caroline’s pedals are great though. From the Kilobyte to the Hawaiian Pizza and the Shigaru ( think I butchered that spelling ) but it’s an octave fuzz and it’s killer. This pedal really impressed and great playing. Couldn’t tell if it was more of a Tube Screamer or a Klon style overdrive. Maybe a little of both? Sounded like a transistor style drive.

      I have the Shigeharu and love it soooo much. I need more Caroline in my life. Would love to do some more videos!

      Seriously!! On its own into a clean amp, or pushing a dirty amp, it’s got it all

    Thanks. Is this circuit based on any previous pedals?

    • @EdgeofBreakup
      @EdgeofBreakup  Год назад

      To my knowledge, it shares a lineage with the Hawaiian Pizza. Might want to ask Caroline guitar company directly!

      @@EdgeofBreakup “If the Pizza is 30% drive, 70% fuzz, then this is more like 80% drive, 20% fuzz.” Got it. Thanks.

      It's based on rangemaster albeit distant

    • @oaeoeaoRust
      @oaeoeaoRust 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@ozlion152the Hawaiian Pizza (which this is based on) is a dual-transistor fuzz pedal (Fuzz Face style.) "The Blues" sports a BC108 transistor- the classic Rangemaster used an OC44. I'd still like to see the circuit on "The Blues" to see what's going on!

    What I found with many knobs and switches is that there's usually one setting that is best, that you rarely change from.With Drive pedals ,anyway, had it been dialed in properly and suit your taste, - you shouldn't need more than a couple knobs.
    Otherwise, maybe you just have the wrong pedal.

    • @EdgeofBreakup
      @EdgeofBreakup  2 года назад +1

      I agree that a pedal should be easy to dial-in, however I know a ton of pedals that are much broader than one setting that works, as it absolutely depends how your amp is set, and what else you’re stacking with it (if any). I wouldn’t speak in generalities as a catch all. For instance, the Origin revival drive has so many controls but it is a powerhouse…
      I do appreciate Caroline using a simple consistent control scheme across all their pedals though!
      Thanks for watching and the comment! Appreciate you taking the time!
