I got this for my son, our crank works better but at a full crank up he gets a max of 3 loops with the Mcqueen that came with it. Does not work well with metal cars. They need to go back to the battery powered ones. He lost interest with the track in 5 minutes. And for the price of the track def not worth it. Great concept but that's about it.
Hi PCP, I’m not here to hate but to just inform you, it seems that your copy of the set is faulty, I’ve seen other copies of the set perform way better, and it honestly looks like a lot of fun, it wasn’t even official promotional videos, it was reviews by fellow honest Cars fans, one was even one of my friends who tried it out and he really liked it, it worked very well, but it just seems like you’ve got unlucky with this one and received a faulty version, there’s no way that this is how the set is intended to function, again, other videos of it showcase it working much better, you may have not assembled it properly, or maybe you’re not launching the cars right, but I think this is a case of you simply getting unlucky, I’m sorry this happened to you but I’m sure this isn’t how all copies function, depending on how common this issue is it might be buyer beware, but your copy is the only one I’ve seen function this badly so far, who knows, only time will tell, again I hope you understand and take this little issue with a grain of salt and not judge the whole set yet as your copy most likely has something wrong with it

I've seen other sets perform better too but this goes to show that if a kid gets it then it may not last long because of the quality. I've heard a lot of complaints like his. In all fairness my son prefers the hands on play sets that he can push with his hands in pretend play. His dad thinks he may like an 8 track but those don't seem to be made well now a days either, sadly.

As someone who had grown up owning the Piston Cup 500 track set, I want to say that this set is not bad.. but the function of the booster mechanism might be the problem.
I wished there was a way for Mattel to have a "motorized" booster like they had for the 2006 Piston Cup set, and the Cars 3 Florida track.

What other tracks connect to this? I know it connects to reds fire station. But I want a little radiator springs village!! This track only works with some cars.

EVEN IF it worked then the set is flawed because
1.Due to the lack of batteries it wont last long so you cant just let the cars roll preventing a race.
2.And a MAJOR grip Ive been having with all there sets:NO RACING BETWEEN CARS IN 2 LANES!ONLY 1 LANE(So no passing or overtaking just youre in the lead thats that)
What I mean is that there hasnt beeen yet a 2 laned racetrack(Florida 500 only in turns and Piston Cup 500 is ALMOST Great but lack it by the finish line)
What I mean is I WANT Mattel to make a set like the Piston Cup 500 and make it bigger and possible to have a massive race between a lot of cars.Like if they went all out on this set even if it costed 100 Dollars but checked all the boxes and could be used to have a real race and be functional and I WOULD WITHOUT A MOMENTS DOUBT BUY IT(Too bad cause they got the aethetics of it spot on)something like a...ULTIMATE MOTOR SPEEDWAY OF THE SOUTH SET

Hi there Piston Cup Productions, I did not come to criticize or hate, I came to let you know that it looks like your version of this set is faulty. There were other versions that work out good, as this set is a lot of fun, from reviews by Cars fans, especially since T Toy Reviews Ty bought that set and it worked very well for him, even I bought this set and it worked very well. But unfortunately, it appears that you weren't lucky and you have officially bought a faulty version of this set. It's a bummer that this happened to you. But I'm aware that this isn't how all versions of this set works. Also, I know it's made of plastic, but there are errors that happen. Anyways, I hope you understand about this and bring that small issue and not judge the entire set as your version most likely has something wrong with it.

Idk man mine worked pretty good besides the yellow part. I got one for my kid for Christmas and I was able to get 3 car going let alone one for quite a few laps and make into the winner's circle. Maybe you got a dud 🤷♂️

To be honest, I actually agree with you in my opinion the glow racers actually has better sets than this, as this is just a set that Mattel completely botched!
