How do you approach tuning in situations when you have drum tech at your disposal? Do/would you rely solely on their tuning approach?

I let the tech tune and then I just tweak to my liking if there is anything that I want to change

Try not to have them tuned too close together. And tighten or loosen your snare wires a bit. Snare wire type & count can have an effect too.

Lower reso on your floor tom or even? Have you tried cotton balls and gaff tape on the heads?
