About I Dream Of Jeannie: Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman star in this classic ‘60s comedy about a genie and her master. When astronaut Tony Nelson is forced to crash-land on a remote Pacific island, he finds a strange bottle that's washed ashore. When he opens it, out pops a genie named Jeannie. With all these teases, I just couldn't resist and brought the whole DVD collection from Ebay. Well worth the money, no commercials to watch.
I will probably be doing the same at some point! I think I have the first one or two seasons so will need to buy the others. I don't even remember how many seasons there are. 🤷
@@love2act35 Just buy the whole complete set of 12 dvds. It's much cheaper than buying the individual seasons. I only paid 20 something bucks with free shipping.

The blinking stuff in and out is perfect... you can go frame by frame and it lines up with out fault.
I think they did a better job with the special effects than on Bewitched.
Once again Dr. Bellows starts to question his sanity. Never gets old, I swear. Oh, and of course Barbara is gorgeous, but hey, that's a given, huh?

Barbara Eden looked especially beautiful in this episode. Roger is a great sidekick. Dr Bellows is always trying to "get" Major Nelson but he is really a good guy at heart.
I feel like this episode was filmed and produced during the first season but didn't air until the second season. The sound effects, music cues, and house layout are all first season stuff.
No way that Mast is fitting under the ceiling!

For every season, there was a different house layout.
I never noticed that
It was only in the last season that they turned the stairs around and put that fireplace in the middle after they had the place remodeled. In the first four seasons, the layout was consistent. They painted it that light orange for season 2, when it went to color. And then they changed it to brown paneling for season 3.

The first season, Jeannie Breaks the Bank (this episode), and The Fastest Gun in the East all retained the same first season set, with the exception of the pilot. My favorite set by far.

Probably not that open. Paul Lynde was gay too but not openly. In the book I read about Jeannie, they wondered why Hayden Rourke wasn't dating women and they kind of thought he might be gay. Don't think he talked about it in public.
