    This bunker was called Fink II in Hamburg This was a Submarine pen and was partly demolished. Today only the docks still remains but the roofs and walls are removed.

    A bit wasteful .... surely they might have thought some use could be found for them post-war ...... ??

    These pens could not be destroyed during the war even with a direct hit by a 22,000 lb😲

      They're didn't need to actually be destroyed just be made unusable by the the bomb's shockwaves dislodging essential equipment

    Where exactly were these u boat pens? would it be in Finkenwerder?

      Yes. The Fink II complex (5 'boxes' of 3 U-boats each capacity) at the Deutsche Werft shipyard on the Rüsch Kanal; the remains of the pens are visible flying into Hamburg, stickingout from the runway of the Airbus plant now on the site. Demolition was on 21 Oct 45
