i think Carlyle is another USA heritage brand that hasn't gone down quite as far as craftsman, stanley, black and decker. The only tool i have of theirs is a new ~$50 3/8 60t ratchet handle which feels really nice. it's not stamped with country of origin, but it is stamped with a repair kit number which is more important to me
Thanks for your comment. Our UK rep is trying to get us in a 60t ratchet to try and said big new things are coming soon and a big step up in quality. Exciting times lots of new competition to keep Snap On busy and push the development boundary forwards.
