This just came across my feed. Im sure too many of us relate to “collecting” art supplies.! A year ago or so I went through my stuff and gave away a lot of supplies to coworkers with kids. I’m getting much more particular about what I buy and (trying) to be more conscious of truly using what I own and “shop my own stash” . For me- and I want to be careful to not sound judgy because truly I would be a hypocrite- I have to truly think about what I will honestly use, not feeding some emotional need with shopping (or in my case, eating, too) , and beating down the fear of scarcity (I CAN replace if I use something up, for goodness sake!) I love open stock for allowing me to buy a few things at a time to try to see if I think it’s something I might truly use. Phew… it’s such an easy snare to fall into!! Now I’m off to see your other videos….
Thanks for watching Julie. I hope you enjoy my other videos also. At one time I surely admit to buying most things that I could afford and was drawn to. Since then (like you) I have been much more intentional about spending. Although I have purged very little, I may part with more soon... but the price increases have given me pause. I am at the twilight of my working carrer, and am moving toward purchasing carefully selected items to carry me happily through retirement years (hopefully). Ink refills...etc. Hope you stop by my channel again! TFW
Is it Matty or Maddy? You have a lot of company. No judgement here. Lol. I just finished organizing and thrifted some things and sold on local FB but not enough. Comparison video would be great! I saw your box and love boxes but hate lids that detach so I cut the back corners of the lid and used matching duct tape on the back and along the inside. Lids just flip up. Found a few boxes at Dollar General. Good quality. You have a great collection. TFS

I have the Stabilo set and think they’re fantastic and great for mixed media projects. I also have the Neocolor II which are great for more precise colouring almost used like a watercolour stick. They’re also fantastic. I think you’re fantastic to share with us your water soluble stash and respect your honesty.
