- Finally, you have somebody to dive with. Even better, you can actually FIND them!
Kenny jumps on a video call with Alexis to discuss exciting new technology that links divers up with each other.
The new “Radar” feature notifies you of divers in your area. You can chat, dive together, just ask questions about the area… but it’s divers talking to divers, and this is incredible.
This is worth talking about because it has officially been released!

The app is great. The only thing that I would like to see is instead of going one person at a time and asking if they want to go diving it’d be great to do a mass post asking “who wants to go diving?”
That's a great idea! We are going to add that to our user feedback - and see what we can do about a future feature ;)

On the app and love it. I kind of wish it had some pre-scripted text just because it’s a weird conversation at first. Already have at least one dive planned with someone I met on the app, so it works, but could use some polish

I live in a major city (2M+ people) "buddy radar" found 2 divers here and then started suggesting buddies from about 500km away. It's a great idea, I just don't think it's working properly yet.
It’s brand new, just need to get the word out and more ppl on it. Spread the word and hang in there, I do believe it’ll get where it needs to be soon 💪
We're starting with a larger radius until we get more buddies using Buddy Radar. Then, we will start honing in on the location to garner closer buddies. Thank you for the support - we really appreciate it!
As for someone who is tech illiterate, getting all my logged dives from 2 other apps to the dive buddy app is a real challenge. I've had the buddy app for over a year and haven't used it mainly because I have no logged dives on it, so it looks like I'm a noob or never dove before. I'd love a tutorial on getting those logged dives onto the buddy app.

I used to get on a boat and hope i get a half decent insta-buddy
Now you can check things out ahead of time and scope out the scene! But just showing up never fails!
