I just watched her documentary on Netflix. I have so much respect for Shania. She’s so strong and so courageous. Mutt is the clear loser in this situation, in my opinion💯

It was a really good documentary. I had NO idea how difficult she had it, but she is still so humble and lovely. I only saw one pic of the adulteress and man ... I'll just say, Shania is one of the most naturally beautiful women I've ever seen. Makes me wonder if he needed more attention and she was super successful, traveling the majority of the time. He's also very private but so is she with regard to her private life vs. public persona (as an entertainer). I then went on to watch her 6-part series on the OWN network and that was fascinating! Her journey to get her voice back and the duet she did with Lionel Ritchie (Endless Love) is absolutely beautiful!

My uncle met his second wife after his first wife had an affair with his second wives husband. The marriage lasted 50 years. The affair, less than a year.
My personal opinion is the male targets the female, as some kind of point of acrimony against the other male. Not always, but possibly so. To score a point or something. Same with the female. Better rid.

My best friend/ mom, in my adulthood cheated on my dad with my own husband for years under our nose throughout our marriage. I was 23 when I walked in on them. After my mom was caught, she tried to tell me that it's not what I really saw, in her attempt to cover the lie.
I think it utterly fractured my psychological/ mental and emotional mind.
I just wasn't the same again.

As a Mom I can only tell you your Mom is a selfish piece of sh*t, and I don’t know what kind of Mom she was as we’re growing up, but to betray your own child in such a brutal way says that she is fundamentally broken as a human being, please don’t let there actions break you, get councilling some with your Dad and some individual your both going to need it. Be kind to yourself, there is study that says the kind of emotional pain these to a$$holes have left you to deal with is similar to severe physical pain so whatever you go through just allow yourself to go through it without judgement and someday in the future the reason for all this will become clear and if you allow the blessings to come they will come, it can break you or you can use this to strengthen and make you better, now you can just wallow, but at sometime in the future you will have to choose your path and I hope you choose the path of love and abundance for yourself god knows you deserve it after what you have been through!!!!!

My sister was in a similar situation with a controlling fiancée who isolated her, separated her from her family all the while carrying on a string of affairs, one of which had lasted years. My sister was clueless at the time bc he was a cop and worked strange shifts, etc.. She too found love when she was still recovering. She is married to a wonderful man now. She struggles with trust issues. Hopefully Shania and her handsome husband Ed, have been able to move on without those issues bc they both experienced betrayal. They both deserve to be happy!

I am not a fan of celebrities but this story really is inspirational. I too had a cheating husband and he was a serial cheat and a liar. For years, he ran me down, belittle me all the time and even when he cheated, the excuse was I was the cause of it. All cheats have a tendency to blame others to justify their cheating. Now I think the divorce was the best decision I have ever made so I can be myself again.
For all women out there with the same problem, be brave and do what's right for you.

Oh. My. God. Ad a DV survivor with Complex PSTD from not only that but a Traumatic childhood as well I totally get the fact that she lost her ability to sing. IDK know what causes it exactly, maybe anxiety, but there are times when we go to speak out or fight back, raise our voice that you literally feel your throat constrict like there are hands around it squeezing. It's extremely frightening when it 1st happens to you.

This is a shallow observation but many people think an affair happens because they lack something, looks mostly. Comparing their looks to the party involved with their spouse. However, both Twain and her current spouses were very conveniently attractive individuals . They have now been married for over a decade so it seems they both contain the skills to have a healthy long relationship. Especially since Twain dealt with vocal problems. It takes a supportive partner to help a spouse cope with huge changes.
Also notice he travels with her!and they spend alot of time together vs apart!

HOLY CRAP !!! I remember being at a company conference many years ago at Deerhurst and there was a young singer there who I had never heard of and perhaps no one else at the time had either. She was absolutely gorgeous and had the voice of an angel. Years later when a singer named Shania Twain came along I wondered if that might have been her and it looks like it was. I remember being enthralled with this angel and am now thrilled to discover that it probably was. I can't believe how her husband could possibly cheat on her.
