Athletes from seven different nations line up for the WRC esports world finals in the Athens Olympic Stadium to see who will be crowned 2022 champion and walk away with cold hard cash. After all the qualifying stages, the four finalist where WIL BOTTI JR, RC IZAMUSING, RC LDLC OL NEXL and TM SAMI-JOE.

Honestly this kind of eSports are much more interesting than other racing games. There's those ghost cars for spectators to see a real time comparison which is amazing compared to none irl
Trackmania has also the same feature and the competitions are great aswell! You have to give it a try :)
They should really try to implement ghost cars in real life racing too. It would be such a great viewing experience.

I can't imagine the heart break for Sami, he was on a different level. Take out the first stage he would have won by over 20 seconds.
I'm sorry, but this was absolute BS! Imagine being in Sami's shoes... All that practice and time spent, just to have the organizers provide you with faulty hardware and as a result lose the event. Sami was undoubtedly the better driver today, keep your head high!

It’s kinda funny I’ve been using my Thrustmaster ts-xw and all the thrustmaster e brake and shifters and never had a single problem, I really want the DD fennec wheel but watching them take this away from that kid. They should have reset the rallly with different stages cause his wheel died and drove him into a wall.

Very fun to watch. Cheering for Sami next event. I wish the ghost cars were also rendered as real cars with sound. Even if they overlap sometimes I think it would make it 50 times more epic!!

"A critical wheel problem with the base". The fact that they didn't look at other angles of Sami's "accident" is kinda shitty. I feel like he got robbed. He is obviously much faster than his competition. The way the car spun looked very unnatural.
Its one thing to have your team car mess up but hardware is an issue of the event holder and should be taken into account.
Shame on the organizers, Sami is the REAL champion. Fault of hardware and they let it continue as nothing happened, incredible

This is all done on a computer, IN a real rally the chances of a internal combustion engine , fine tuned, road tested brakes, suspension everything checked, those car don;t suddenly just glitch out nd spin into a violent 180 without driver input. Watch sami joe race. If you think he intentionally made that error then lol. Yeah you can literally see the game glitch.

at first I thought Sami Joe was just having a bad time on Monte Carlo but knowing that his equipment had a issue they should have reset that first race BS if you ask me
Besides the video is in low resolution , the match is intense and great !
getting this game to run smoothly is a chalenge in its self i have to run it at 60hz for it to run smooth. does like 120hz
If you play back at 0.75x, the cornering looks pretty realistic.
Any idea what tyre setup they were using in Monte Carlo to handle the snow and tarmac both OK?

It would be awesome if you shared the ffb settings you used on the championship rig which run the CSL DD. been trying to make it work nicely as my older thrusmater wheel but it doesnt feel right.
Use compatibility mode pC and console! Made a huge difference also try using linearity settings instead of peak! I only use linearity any more! Good luck hope this helps!

I played wrc in this playing room im my town, I made very good results on some tracks, top 30 in the world, and I dont have a lot of hours on the wheel, I just ordered a wheel and I will train, going for the top spot!
On one track im 3rd on the leaderboard in junior wrc class

Idk about epic or steam... There's alot difference ps5 vs pc vs xbox... Good pc give you alot more fps whats way better then those two options.

This result is a joke.
A malfunction of esport equipment that the organisers are responsible for is completely different than a malfunction of a real car that a team is responsible for.
With this specific esport, they could have just let Sami have another run on Monte Carlo with identical conditions at the end - that would have been a much fairer process and actually made for great viewing. Blew it worse than Michael Masi!
€25,000 is too much money, especially for a 16 year old, to lose due to a malfunction of something that was the responsibility of the competition organisers! Same for a world title.
In previous years, Sami had also battled against regular power outages in Lebanon just to practice to compete at this level. WRC should be handing him €25,000.
They need a pre-determined process for these situations. These drivers would practice for hundreds of hours and shouldn’t be robbed like this.
An uneven playing field makes for crap viewing and has made a mockery of this competition. It also casts a shadow over esports in general.

wow i have a feeling this young lad Sami Joe is going places. That was an absolute masterclass n i mean a masterclass in rally driving from one so young. This boy has superstar written all over him. But I guess the commentators are spot on.......technical things happen in real rallying so it's just really bad luck. But he'll be back stronger than ever. Normally I prefer dirt 2.0 but the way these guys drove and how close they all are i genuinely enjoyed that. Anybody i see, including me, play this it just doesn't look as smooth n professional as this. Anyway congrats on a 4th championship mate and honestly well done man to you all. Sami.......I see a bit of colin macrae/ sebastien leob in you kid.
