My wife and I have watched your videos for years and we actually showed up in this one (my wife was the person that gave you a shout out on the pedestrian bridge between Excalibur and NYNY and the very start of the video). You did an amazing job on this video and it really captured the experience of being on the strip on NYE. Very well done!
You are a trooper Chris to walk the Strip for us! I watched from beginning to end (started Jan 1st and ended Jan 2nd in the am). Always love your commentary and bits of information you drop on us. It's a great video for those people who don't realize how far one casino is from another - especially at the North end. Plus you find out where each hotel and casino are located in relation to one another. Gives us a much better perspective than looking at it on a map. I've been to Vegas several times, but it's always good to get a refresher course. Thank you for a job well done!
Great video Chris, thanks. My wife and I spent NYE in Vegas every year from 1999 - 2010. Unless it's changed what the video doesn't show is how insanely crowded it is in the casinos. Trying to get a drink if you're playing is rough. And then even though it looks pretty chill on the strip, come 11:30 or so everybody from the casinos heads out to watch the fireworks. It is INSANE. Love Vegas and we only stay at the Wynn (comps for the win lol) and only go mid week these days
This was fun to watch. I barely made it to a pub in my city right before midnight so didn't get to see much New Year's action. You seem to have made good time too, I would've thought it took much longer to walk the entire strip. Love Vegas in winter... 🎉💛

Only spent New Years Eve in Vegas once, in 1996, but we picked a really Good one to experience because they imploded the old Hacienda ( to eventually build Mandalay Bay) at just before Midnight! The Strip was completely closed to traffic just like here, and it was the only time I’ve even gotten the chance to walk on the actual Strip…and then, two days later, we got to go the the Grand opening of NY NY!
From the UK, got married in Vegas in 2004, just booked to come back for our 20th wedding anniversary (September) looks like The Strip has changed a lot since we were last there :) Stayed at the Strat first time, New York New York this time....Great video, enjoyed watching...

I made it to the end. Good job on narration--informative and never a dull moment. You handled walking thru the crowds very well. Thanx for pointing out locations of some of the off strip hotels that one hears about but aren't quite sure where they're at?? My 2 favorite things about planning a Vegas trip are ur videos and shopping for cheapest plane fare and best hotel deals. The trip itself seems almost anti-climactic. I'm gonna have to try that pastrami sandwich at NYNY😊. Happy 2024!
Nice video, made it to the end. We've done that walk from the Vegas sign to the Strat, but over 3 separate days while stopping at every casino to pick up a $1 chips to take home. It's a nice adventure and you get to people watch and see all the properties. BTW that Aztec Casino across the street from the Strat is our go to for cheap/good breakfast when we stay at the Strat. I believe it's also known as the $5 Cafe.

I went to Las Vegas many times between 1967 and 2011, but have not been since. Nice to see what has changed and what is still the same(ie. Circus Circus). Your walk brought back lots of memories. I liked your reference to Monty Python's Spamalot. During my last visit to Vegas, I went to see it, not realising that my seat was the one where the Holy Grail was found. So I was brought up on stage and given The Arthur Award for Best Peasant. My only regret was that I never was in Vegas when Elvis was performing. I also seemed to go a few weeks before or after his engagements.
The Strip starts at the M Hotel & Casino and ends dwntown.😂 I went one year on New Years Eve. It was crazy! Don't drive. People were stuck in their cars, surrounded by mobs of people and the crowd was climbing on the cars. Yikes! That car was in a Chech & Chong movie.😁

We stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacation club a few years ago. The best value on the strip. A one bedroom suite with kitchen and washer and dryer. It was quit and nice. We looked out our window watching the fountain bleu being built.

What you said is so true about the themed hotels are slowly disappearing or getting run down. That's why I want to go to Vegas so bad, before they disappear for good. I want to stay at the Excalibur or something similar.

Thank you so much for your "Walked Entire LV Strip NYE". It was a joy to live vicariously thru your narration of new LV. I was there in late October23 and totally enjoyed Mon Ami for brunch. I arrived at LV late afternoon and took public transport to connect with Deuce on the strip. Arrived after 10:00pm at Hilton at the Resort World. Check-in was fast and efficient but not remarkably welcoming and/or friendly. As expected, my room was new, clean, and equipped with USB ports. In spite of being a Diamond Member, no complimentary late check-out. It was additional $50 first hour after 11:00am and $60 for second hour. Second stay at Marriott at RedRocks was least remarkable. The vibe was old world and looking bit tire before their next renovation? Last but not least, Westin was the quiet chic away from the main strip. There were no smoke filled casinos and all the ladies at the front desk were happy to help with combs, toothpaste, and random questions. I had to ask for direction to Paris Hotel for brunch and Russel H. at the Valet made sure I stayed off the main route (high temp) and navigated thru the lobby inside the hotel instead...and bring water to hydrate...I am totally impressed with my Bonvoy AmExp because of Westins! Btw, what a nice community thru YellowProduction :) Looking forward to 2024 YellowProduction, tysm ;)
In case it isn't obvious.... if you fly into Vegas and stay only on the Strip, DO NOT rent a car, at least not without a special reason. Just take a cab. And if you're in reasonably good shape, you can walk anywhere on the Strip.

Thank you so much for your "Walked Entire LV Strip NYE". It was a joy to live vicariously thru your narration of new LV. I was there in late October23 and totally enjoyed Mon Ami for brunch. I arrived at LV late afternoon and took public transport to connect with Deuce on the strip. Arrived after 10:00pm at Hilton at the Resort World. Check-in was fast and efficient but not remarkably welcoming and/or friendly. As expected, my room was new, clean, and equipped with USB ports. In spite of being a Diamond Member, no complimentary late check-out. It was additional $50 first hour after 11:00am and $60 for second hour. Second stay at Marriott at RedRocks was least remarkable. The vibe was old world and looking bit tire before their next renovation? Last but not least, Westin was the quiet chic away from the main strip. There were no smoke filled casinos and all the ladies at the front desk were happy to help with combs, toothpaste, and random questions. I had to ask for direction to Paris Hotel for brunch and Russel H. at the Valet made sure I stayed off the main route (high temp) and navigated thru the lobby inside the hotel instead...and bring water to hydrate...I am totally impressed with my Bonvoy AmExp because of Westins!

Yay Earl of Sandwich! My favorite, wherever I can find one. On my Vegas trip, I ate there multiple times.
In case it isn't obvious.... if you fly into Vegas and stay only on the Strip, DO NOT rent a car, at least not without a special reason. Just take a cab. And if you're in reasonably good shape, you can walk anywhere on the Strip.
