Hate the sports betting partnership. I'm falling out of love with the sports that have become infested with gambling ads.
I feel u. Disc golf needs help money/attention wise though. Most pro players have regular jobs during the off season. and make very little. Fpo laughably less. Hopefully this at least helps give this sport a boost in many ways
I hear gambling ads during podcasts every day now. You know there's a problem when it's a 15 second ad followed by 3 minutes of warnings and ways to help with gambling addiction after every one.

@@stephenfrancais There are numerous ways to grow a sport. This didn't have to be the route they went. Heck, the sport has been growing lately. It's just not growing at the pace the PDGA wants it to grow at.

I believe most lower body injuries are from crappy pad design for temporary courses most of who are using cheap plastic turf becuse until 2025, Disc Golf Pro Tour had let local event directors have whatever for temporary, but Disc Golf Pro Tour enforce a rule having a pad that is not a natural grass pad where a line is using a staked into ground 2x4 or using for any of pad mulch. Even on the PDGA National Tour at one point, a sponsor was a rubber Disc Golf Specific tee pad used until company either gave up making disc golf tee pads for bigger money items at company or because of making so specific a need, went broke.

I think it should grow naturally without the gambling getting involved. There needs to be more money for sure. Look elsewhere.
Couldn't agree more. Gambling has become a very prominent issue with sports. Sure, gambling on sports always existed, but it's grown a ton in recent years.
Every professional sports league that’s taken serious has ties with gambling. It’s only going to help grow the sport IMO. People watch Korean baseball and Australian basketball here in the states for the sole reason they are betting on the games. If you aren’t a diehard discgolf fan, it will be way more intriguing to watch a round with a wager on it.

Personally, I find most of these betting sites to be a bit despicable. Sure, it gets some people more engaged in the sport, but it's still gambling on sports.
I think you've trully done the sport a disservice here by not talking about the good and the bad of how gambling can effect a sport. You only praised the decision and didn't talk about about any of the negatives. I think this will be the lest time I watch one of your videos.

I'm not going to say I'm for or against sports betting, but I will say that plebs love betting on their trivial sports so why not let them be happy giving their money away some already-rich guys while convincing themselves that their next bet will rectify all of their losses and them some.
