Thank you so much for creating this ruler. I was going to have to cut each piece from a pattern in a magazine until I researched an easier way to do split rectangles. This will be a Godsend when I receive it in the mail tomorrow. Thank you again :)
If you watch the video and look at the ruler while watching, it will make more sense. Once it clicks in your head, you will find it goes really quick and the trimming is a breeze.
luckily, I decided to use paper to test the arrangements for fabric. I feel like I am missing something. I've done 5 scenarios, but none satisfy my needs. I love the ruler, very quick to cut, just need help directionally. when I cut a strip, if I cut right sides together (or wrong sides together) I get the two different directions, from bottom left and bottom right BUT the pairs that match to do that are the exact same color (which I need them to be one white paired with one blue, but it repeats bottom color makes all the upper right angles, top color makes all the upper left angles). if I do both fabrics right sides up, I get the top left angle, if I do both sides wrong sides up, I get the right angles. Do I just have to create different stacks to get the different directions?
I don't know of any retailers in the UK that have ordered from us in the last few years. We do have a Certified Instructor in the Netherlands which might be easier for you to get our products from. here is her website: www.quiltrevolutie.nl/about
HI Marilyn, the leaf block shown in this video is the same leaf used in my Northern Neighbours pattern. You can find the instructions there. There isn't a video to go with it just the pattern. deb-tuckers-studio-180-design.myshopify.com/products/northern-neighbors?_pos=1&_sid=230dae287&_ss=r
The Pattern is called Fanfare and you can find it on my website here: deb-tuckers-studio-180-design.myshopify.com/products/fanfare?_pos=1&_sid=8d1c18dcb&_ss=r
what is the difference between the split rects tool and the corner pop II tool? Is there something on the split rect tool that isn't on the corner pop II tool?
With the Split Rects tool as you can see you cut the half rectangles as shown in the video and then trim. With the Corner Pop II, it was designed to cut off a piece of the corner of a block/square and then add a replacement triangle and then trim it down. They are similar and the Corner Pop II goes up to 12" finished but they are different.
Deb Tucker - you are a quilting tools genius!!! Love your tools!
I always learn something from your videos, and thank you for including us lefties!!

I have pattern for the quilt style hanging behind you
Do you have a tutorial for it?
We don't have a tutorial for it. We just have the patterns and this tool video for how to use the Splot Rects tool.

Wow I just found you. Don’t suppose you have a U.K. retailer for your products?

Boa noite eu gostaria de saber como monta o cata vento
couldn't understand what you said at 1:08....
As much as I love the quilt...I have stopped buying rulers. I have so many rules that I have used only once.
