The Mechs were commissioned by itswhatevan and sculpted by Ana Polanšćak, AKA Gardens of Hecate. The resin versions are new, cast by Ramshackle Games - Curtis doesn’t like wasting resin, hence the sprue gate being a scenic wreck! The idea of a scannable QR code linking to BattleTech Mech sheets was all Evan’s idea. ❤ Was good to meet you! - Slug Wizard

Honestly impressed by your restraint. I would love to go to Adepticon but being in the UK I'll have to settle for Salute in 2 weeks time. It's only a one day event but it's in it's 51st year and is run by South London Warlords gaming club making it the biggest independent wargaming Con in Europe. We get Mantic, Warlord, Asmodee UK and some of the other big UK companies (no GW) but I should see a lot of local gaming clubs and indie companies. Really looking forward to it and they had close to 10,000 attendees last year.

This year was my first Adepticon, grabbed a quick selfie with you at the Under The Dice booth. I expected it to be a weekend of mild partying and playing 40k, and I ended up meeting all the Grimdark Hallway denizens by way of the Brush Wielders Union. I got home feeling fired up to do some cool hobby stuff in a way I've never been before.

I love Fireforges’ miniatures. The sergeants box set is great and the pictures for the first edition Frostgrave rulebook, outside of the wizards and monsters, are Fireforge. Great stuff.
I've picked up a good amount of their figures, including their Peasant Rabble. Great modularity and so many extra bits for conversions. One of my favorite companies.

Fireforge Peasant Rabble are great for kit bashing with Frostgrave. I have some weathering pencils from AK but I've never been too sure on how best to use them. I bought Huge miniatures crackle paste last year and love it.

Those Blkout minis really do have some intense Titanfall vibes. TF2 is my favorite FPS campaign of all time, so I may need to check this out.

That big green stone thing is a bigger version of a Privateer Press miniature for Hordes called Shifting Stones for Circle Orboros.
I know, I'm miffed that I missed it! I'll have to search online for it.
Which probably means it was printed and sold without permission from the company.
@@Stormcaller3801 If Privateer Press sold big obelisks like this then it would a problem. As they don't, I doubt they'd mind, and would likely enjoy seeing it on the table.

@@thomasgrable1746 So: Privateer Press has put a lot of wirk, effort and Money inside an unique Desighn & they shouldn't mind if some Rambo-Punk with an 3D-Scanner steels this desighn and enlarge it? Think once more.
Fireforge Games has a large range of historical miniatures both hard plastic and resin. Forgotten World is basically their fantasy range. I have a couple of medieval troops from them and while they are nothing fancy you have quite some options and the kits are mostly interchangable.
Fireforge has been around for a long time. A good portion of my Crusades army is made up from their kits.

Genuinely suprised that you havent heard of fireforge before now. They are like the holy trinity of 3rd party plastics with Wargames Atlantic and Warlord

Fireforge Games are fantastic. I have multiple of their medieval boxes and am going to get into their samurai line this month.
I dig the Hatebreed style logo under the dice is using.

Fireforge minis make great stuff. Anyone who wants knights for their fantasy armies should have a look - the knightly orders stuff in their historical ranges are amazing.
Are they heroic scale?
@@Mikey__R they’re chunkier than a lot of more realistically proportioned historical minis - closer to old GW bretonnians than Perry stuff, for example

That green 3d Printed thing is a Shifting Stone from Warmachine's Circle Orboros faction almost perfectly scaled up.

Forgotten World came out a few years ago. It's a fairly generic fantasy campaign that started off with undead and knights. I backed the Kickstarter when it first launched.
The Rook is Cities of Sigmar. Con exclusive figure.

Fireforge make some nice minis, my favourites are dwarfs on Rams, but most of the Forgotten range is good. They also sell a variety of shiels, halberds, spears etc, excellent for kit bashing. All plastic. Fireforge are generally 28 to 30mm miniatures. They also make some sci fi minis and have just released some excellent Japanese Samurai, well worth a look.
The large green pillar you got is a Shifting Stone from Privateer Press’s Hordes. There are 3 to a unit for the Circle Orboros faction.
Interesting - because I know I didn’t get it from the Privateer Press booth… that both was near the back of the vendor hall. Weird. Thanks for watching!

Missed Adepticon this year, but will confirm that it is an amazing experience. Even met Uncle Adam last year!
The four big European shows are Salute in the UK at London, UK Games Expo at the NEC Birmingham , Crisis at Antwerp Holland and Spiel at Essen in Germany. Spiel is also board games but the had 193000 people attend last year.
What a lot of pretty things! You make me a little envious, here in Spain, it is difficult to find people who are interested in more than a certain game about war and hammers, so gathering several thousand people to get them to play indie games sounds like a dream.
Also, I discovered a couple of games thanks to this video! I especially liked Cauldron and Flames of Orion (I love that Laserburn flavored cover)
I thought "AdeptiCon Booty" was the condition you get after a 15 hour drive to the convention?
That 3d printed obelisk is a larger version of a Circle of Orboros shifting stones from Warmachine

ESS has BLACKOUT set in the Killwager universe. It’s the UN’s first colony so there are people that live on ABDOL, but now mega corps have show up to exploit the resources. I love the universe and the way they write rules…I did even provide some fiction for the universe, but I am not sure if it’s been published yet.

Those weathering pencils sound amazing!!! Blkout sounds interesting. Downloaded the mech games to check them out! Also, for those interested, Breachstorm is another free ruleset.
I've seen that Mercs and WarZone Eternal are making comebacks! I've never played them but they used to get a lot of coverage and then disappeared.

Adepticon is amazing, my favorite con as well. Food -- if willing to take a LYFT or UBER for a few minutes, there is an amazing array of restaurants in Schaumburg. Chicago style pizza is a must, and the heavy metal burger place Kuma's is such a good time. Thanks for the video, it eases the pain of not going this year!

The minis at 8:55 are from One Gold Piece - they did a lot of fantasy Star Wars based sculpts. Some really cool medieval armored storm troopers and Mando halflings.
grabbed mek28, printed it, working on several modular buff meks for mek on mek action. Thx for all those gaming treasures! (Also purchased cauldron but that one will have to wait)
Yeah I keep seeing advertisements on Facebook for that blackout game, and it looks very cool. I think eventually try and buy the two player starter box because yesterday I watched the rules overview and I actually was very impressed especially with the concept of models being able to lean around corners just like a typical first person shooter.

Here’s an idea for those Wyrmforge minis: Verrotwood, a very cool medieval folk horror skirmish game. Trust me, it’s TMA 2024 material. There is now a weird Wild West version too.
I’ve seen it on Wargame Vault, but haven’t had a chance to check it out yet. I think Ash at Guerrilla Miniature Games did a batrep for it, tho. Thanks for watching!

The AOS line of minis are always nice looking
The grit is probably made of dyed walnut shells. Thats what all the woodland scenic flocks are made of.

It was my first Adepticon and boy howdy was I pleased with my haul!!
Good stuff! I picked up the Hanging Trees, Archie and Carver from Wyrd miniatures Iconic line and 3D printed terrain Castograd Kickstarter Set from the War Terrain booth. It was a lot fun and a great time!

9:43 yeah it's there second game their first was very much spiecal fforces fighting terroists which I have their first one and it's really good the models are exclent and so are the rules... So yeah I really need to pick up blackout as I loved the titian fall games thatnk for reminded me of them!
I'd love to hear you discuss how you find the gameplay of some of those small titles like Cauldron. All sound really cool.
