2010 Austrian Open - ITTF Pro Tour , Wels, AUT, Oct 20 - Oct 24. Men's Singles Semifinal.
Look at the end, ryu is a great sportsman! Fantastic match
Always fun to watch 3rd ball attack forehand dive from young Ryu. so much power
Ryu Seung Min's forehand is stronger than most shakehand players' forehand! amazing.
Penholders generally have stronger forehands
Penholder player, aspectly for Japan style which don't have forehand topspin. They have no choice but concentrate in forehead. It made their forehead seems to be stronger.
great game both playing and manners
Brilliant match, both are wonderful sportsmen to watch.
2:39 Ryu like a king
Yeah that was remarkable. Waldner style. Control with apparently zero effort.
Count how many points RYU makes his point at the third bal, just a great difference between BOLL and the european players
watching the video 2024. who else ?
Is anyone watching this in 2024?
Mr.Ryu was the best player as a penholder after Kim Taek Soo.
No. He has inherent backhand weakness. You have to evolve or die away. Wang Hao on the other hand will prevail through history. He evolved and he will be remembered forever. Ryu's name will fade away as one of those old classical Penholder, which we had many.
Check who got blasted in 2004 Olympics men singles' final and by whom :)
@@roshlouis8767 Wang Hao didn't evolve the trainers and coaches evolved the the game for him because that's how he's played all his life. Ma Lin on the other hand did evolve because he was the only traditional penholder that incorporated rpb into his game. And Ryu will never be forgotten, still haven't seen a forehand as powerful as his and arguably the best footwork.
@@shaktisaxena7385 I don't think wang hao lose any other games to ryu other than that match, such a sad thing cause wang hao could be the best player of all time if he won those finals.
@@reinaldopessoa2603 well, Xu Xin was also a TPB player who changed to RPB ;)
5:36,6:01 power full topspin
name of the song at the end pls. NICE MATCH RESPECT FOR BOTH PLAYER
Korn: Evolution
2:40 Looks so weird to see Ryu Seung Min block. He’s typically going for power
ryu's backhand block got better
