It's only common sense! I hope that common sense will prevail in Washington! Denmark, we really appreciate your support!🇩🇰🇺🇦

The Danish Parlament has more than 10 parties representing the Danes. EVERY PARTY IN DENMARK SUPPORT UKRAINE!! There is no disagreement on this issue. In this Mette Frederiksen has been a good leader, and not only support Ukraine, but is working relentlessly to get all allied countries to support Ukraine more, and is showing the way by making Denmark among the top contributors per capita.
@Goldenfish-o5p You seem to be confused, in what way does some domestic missteps have anything to do with the topics at hand. I am no fan of heir domestic policies and during the pandemic, some decisions was for sure made rashly and technically not following all laws. Only given the circumstances I think it was still sort of okay, as there clearly wasn't bad intentions and there was little time to act. In many countries what went on would not even be seen as an issue, but we have high standards son anything less than perfect brings questions. As a percentage of GDP, Denmark has given the most support to Ukraine. If the “big country” supporters of Ukraine like US, UK, Germany were to step up to the same level, Ukraine would kick the Ruskies out of their country in short order.
If US, UK, Germany and France gave the same support per capita as Denmark. I seem to recall, that that would amount to more then the Russian GDP. So yeah. Unlike Denmark though. These countries all have internal political problems, at the moment. The worst of which is the US. That make it hard for leaders, to seem like, they are throwing money away. The problem for the big players in the world, especially the US and China is. That they have a vested interest in having Russia slowly bleed, and become weaker over time, rather then Ukraine pushing them out fast, and ending the war. And we all, including Ukraine. Have to make sure, that Russia does not loose catastrophically, within a short period of time. As that would quite possibly, cause events similar to the fall of the Soviet Union. Including a massive migration crisis. Something that would likely tear the fabric of the EU to shreds. Short of Nukes. A failed Russian state, is the worst possible outcome to this war, closely followed by Kiev capitulating. I'm rather sure, Zelenskyj would agree. Though obviously he can't say that. Geopolitics is hard, given all the moving pieces. One should always be a where, that problems/conflicts aught not be analysed in isolation, if you want to find motivation/causes/solutions. That said, it is nice seeing a leader with convictions. Denmark and other small countries, have been and continue to lead by example, in this conflict. Good on them.
Hey I am Danish and Mette does speak for me and the wast majority of the danish people - We have our self been invaded numerous of times through out history as have most European countries (Some seems to have forgotten that Red. Hungary and Slovakia and Serbia) so we in Denmark really stands with Ukraine in their fight for freedom and Democracy and the right to decide to be free.. Just wish the rest of the Western world would wake up and realize what is at stake here - it is our freedom and our ability to be free and democratic minded, to care about humanity and not bow down to the tyranny of the few like they have to do in Autocracies.
As a Danish citizen, I wish to highlight that Denmark has, on numerous occasions, played the role of aggressor in historical contexts. This includes actions in territories such as the Danish West Indies, India, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and Iceland. Moreover, Denmark was notably among the leading slave-trading nations during the 18th century, particularly between Africa and the United States amidst the upheavals of the French Revolution. A significant portion of Copenhagen's economic development has roots in what is often referred to as "sugar money," a euphemism that essentially reflects the financial gains derived from the slave trade. While your assessment of Denmark’s historical context may hold merit, it is crucial to avoid portraying our nation exclusively as an innocent victim of invasion. Such a characterization does not accurately represent the complexities of our past. In recognizing these historical truths, it is imperative to adopt a more nuanced perspective that acknowledges both the struggles faced by Denmark and the aggressive actions undertaken in various global contexts. A balanced reflection on history allows for a deeper understanding of the socio-economic frameworks that have shaped our nation. It is essential to encourage discussions that foster critical thinking about Denmark’s role in historical events. By doing so, we can better appreciate the implications of our past and proceed towards a more informed dialogue about responsibility and reconciliation in contemporary contexts. In conclusion, while it is natural to focus on narratives that underscore victimhood, it is equally important to confront and acknowledge Denmark’s actions that contributed to a legacy of aggression and exploitation. A comprehensive understanding of our history is vital for fostering a more equitable future where we can learn from our past transgressions, aiming for a society grounded in justice and acknowledgment of all facets of our history.

Common sense would be for people to know history in detail, and seek actual facts on full display everywhere for the true seekers. Stupidity and ignorance is a choice! What did James Baker say on February 9, 1990? What and why did A. Merkel and Sarkozy refuse to sign an agreement in 2008? Why has A. Merkel commented that making Ukraine a NATO memeber would equal a declaration of war with Russia? Why was the Minsk Agreements a complete hoax process done by the West, riduculing Putin? Why did 'someone' help 'remove' Viktor Yanukovich in 2014? Did anyone here read transcipts or listen to the phonecall btw Victoria Nuland and Geoffrey Pyatt in February 2014? Why did Boris Johnson pressure Zelensky to change his mind on Ukraine neutrality and peace agreements with Russia in April 2022? Why do we never hear about or read about all the attempts that Putin tried to approach NATO and EU to make security and trade agreements? Following US and NATO logic everyone will be fine with Russia making military expansion on Cuba? The US has +750 military bases in the world, and Russia has 11 - who is the actual threat to who? Stupdity and ignorance is a choice!

Russia has crossed the red lines and continues to do so. At the same time, this is costing us double unless we remove the restriction on hitting all the places Russia launches attacks from. The only true red line should be not bombing civilians or indiscriminately targeting Moscow. Russia keeps attacking civilian hospitals and other such targets, meaning that the red lines don't seem to apply to them. We need to play by the same rulebook. It makes no sense to say, "I can attack you, but you can't hit back," especially when Russia is bombing Ukraine from behind its own borders, while Ukraine is not allowed to respond. As a percentage of GDP, Denmark has given the most support to Ukraine. If the “big country” supporters of Ukraine like US, UK, Germany were to step up to the same level, Ukraine would kick the Ruskies out of their country in short order.
Have you watched the news recently? Germany is broke !

Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
The danish PM is exelent, extraordinary, with much needed common sense on this war in Europe
Yes, she's a true leader, not merely a politician or a functionary, or even a traitor... like one of the former US presidents.

Glory to Ukraine! 💙💛 🇺🇦🇺🇸 ✌

Exactly
At the beginning of the invasion, satellite images showed that the Russian armored convoy heading for the capital Kyiv was 60 km long. Putin boasted that he would take the capital in three days. Everyone in the world thought so, given the ratio of forces. However, the reality was much harsher than Putin could have ever imagined. Two and a half years later, the Russian army is still stuck on the eastern border, unable to move, due to the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian army. Where on earth did that 60 km armored convoy disappear to?
the 60km convoy ran out of fuel and the Ukrainian farmers rescued it and gave it to the Ukrainian troops. Russia is the biggest supplier of Ukrainian arms.
can you point where exactly „Putin boasted that he would take the capital in three days.”? You can't, because he never said that. Instead US „gen. Milley says Kyiv could fall within 72 hours if Russia decides to invade Ukraine: sources” - you can actually find this on the fox news website, date: Feb. 5 2022.
Whenever I hear this line, I know that the brainwashing actually works.

As an American, I'm jealous that we don't have a candidate like this to vote for.
We in Europe see Harris as a very positive choise , unlike Trump.
@@michaelmazowiecki9195 I think Harris is great on healthcare, so I prefer her over Trump, but imo Harris not good on immigration or inflation/economy.
You have Harris - vote for her!
@@jessedameron7985 she is rational, pragmatic and sensible. Trump is the opposite and in Putin's pocket. US economy is doing very well, better than any other major country. As for immigrants, they do the jobs Americans do not want to do. All Americans are immigrants or their descendants.
@@JunkerOnDrums Harris flip-flopped on universal single-payer healthcare during the primary debate last election. She said she would support it and weeks later changed it to not supporting it. How can I trust her to fight for healthcare? I want universal health insurance like Finland has, not some nonsense micro-change. That's the most important issue to me and Harris flip-flopped on it. Harris is for open borders and letting jobs here be challenged by mass immigration (unlike Finland's leader). Harris claimed that Biden was not in cognitive decline when he obviously was. I won't vote for Trump after January 6th or whimsical Tweetstorms calling Kim Jong-Un "Rocket Man," and countless other issues. But at least Trump has a plan for the inflation/economy. He will tap the largest oil reserves in the world. That's going to help the economy (at least in the short-run). He'll secure the borders.
Mette gets my full approval of a qualified, balanced, intelligent leader - with leaders like her in place, global order and harmony would return :)
What a wonderfully educated speaker, what a pleasure.
Godt gået Mette.
It’s absurd that the USA is so slow to approve Ukraine's right to retaliate.
If the USA were attacked, it would strike back across other countries' borders to stop the threat. Why not grant Ukraine the same right?
I am from Denmark, and Russia, or Kaliningrad, is only 400 km away from us, with their nuclear arsenal.
This war is also about respecting borders. If we allow larger countries to take over smaller ones, we will see wars erupt everywhere. Everyone will start building nuclear weapons, and they will eventually be used if we permit this to happen.
We've fought for 2,000 years to shape our country. How long did it take to form yours? Does anyone want to see all that effort taken away by force? After building a nation for so long, should we accept that we can no longer speak freely without fear of being silenced or shot for resisting?
I don’t think so.

Amazingly plain-spoken, clear, and pragmatic: I'd love to see we Americans be as concise and clear in our own thinking. I do understand the Biden Administration's concerns and I'm very glad that Biden isn't reacting with "Shoot-from-the-Hip" thinking, but after two-and-a-half years, we should have gotten to the point where instead of "Supporting Ukraine whatever it takes", we should be "Working to ensure that Ukraine _wins_ and kick Russia out of Ukrainian Territories."

International laws means the access to the Baltic Sea can not be restricted.

She speaks truth on immigration. It’s beyond time to get much tougher. Unfortunately, Brussels and the EU are clueless and don’t allow deportations. The EU won’t last the decade. European cities are unrecognisable, and Europeans never gave approval for this.
