I sang an English Cover of Dokuzu / Scum of the Earth (ド屑), by Nakiso !
Dokuzu is about a manipulative woman who plays dumb and innocent to get what she wants in the end- the type who plants ideas into the mind of the one they're leeching off of to get what they desire. But there's an even darker underbelly to this to where she dehumanizes the person she is puppeteering. She pretends to be the fly to the spider, but really, she is the spider (queen slay moment?). The character in the MV is actually a Jorogumo- a yokai that can transform into a beautiful woman to lure in its prey.

The original was alright for me but im obsessed with this cover. The vocals really sell it and i notice more happening with them everytime i listen. The cutesy 'pretty pleases' and increasing strength behind the 'do what i say' is awesome.

Oh my GOODNESS, The effects, the flipping between octaves and inflections, and the control jumping between intervals is just stunning and exciting and chilling all at the same time!! And the lyrics, don't get me started ahaha... This is such a good translation, and I love how the chosen English words fit and slide together with the same rythmic tone that the original does. The sneaking harmonies in the background compliment the tone of what's happening in the melody and are absolutely gorgeous and again, chilling! Absolutely worth the wait, thank you trickle for this piece of art!

JSAHFKWKD your voice perfectly matches this song so well!!! When the first switch happens at 0:30, UGH you nailed it. It was amazing. The rest of the song is equally just as amazing, you managed to nail the sudden switching of attitudes, the part at 1:40…the growls, the grit, the agressiveness, *chef’s kiss* then again I expected nothing less. Yet again another amazing cover 😌
P.S: Your mixing skills are showing, Trickle. The flow of your voice and the music makes this so pleasant to listen to, then again, all your covers are.
