I did my time as a apprentice on DAF in the 70 in Holland moved to NZ but no Dafs on the road in NZ in 70s and early 80s. They came much later. Still have a soft spot for a DAF truck. Use to love to drive the once with the road ranger gearboxes.
Awesome vid👍great to see the 3 DAF especially restore of 3300, last time I see a truck run out of fuel was DAF not easy job especially having manual prime/pump to bleed system. Cummins n Fuller gearbox are common sight here in Australia.
DAF 3600 6x4, that thing will pull a house down. Also, an excellent combination for running down to the Middle East back in the day. Brilliant machines,
04.30 DAF 3600 is not asembled with 15 litres engine..14 litres Cummins N-14...The 15 litres is a Cummins signature 14.9 litres...Rear suspension is Hendrickson leafspring..

Nice. There is still a lot of old Euro trucks in Australia, sure plenty are rough and ready now and plenty need restoring. Main thing is they are still here due to the dry conditions.
So if your looking for old Scania parts try Zed wrecking in Victoria just put au on the end for Australian sites. Just trucks and owner online magazine will have information for clubs in Australia etc .. see how you go . Are you after anything in particular ? I can point you in the right direction, good luck

The space cab Daf is still one of the best looking trucks. As a kid I was so excited to see one of those beasts in the road 👍🏻

These are the strongest trucks DAF ever made! Nowadays the quality is gone! The cab rust like crazy! And don’t mention the reliability of the engine.
