Took ownership of a Kelpie a little over two months ago. He's now just over eight months of age.
At first, my vet advised keeping him on a dry diet because she had reservations about his nutritional needs being met if I fed a natural, fresh and varied diet that was majority meat/protein based and kept carbohydrates to a minimum.
I ignored her advice and my dog has now been on a majority raw diet for several weeks. I have continued giving him some kibble, but it makes up no more than 20% of what I feed him daily.
He's thriving and in peak condition for his age and size. He had gut issues when I first got him, but now he's far more regular, doesn't need to go as often. His stools are firm, slightly moist, and smaller than before. He's no longer producing the occasional liquid stools he was earlier. He also used to consume heaps of water, but now drinks around one third less.

amazing video!! When I adopted my yorkshire terrier, he was on a gently cook homemade diet & kibble.. (50/50) & i fed this for a while until a vet told me that it was dangerous for not having all the minerals & a lack of vitamines (just like you say in this video)** So I only gave him kibble from then. He is 3 yrs now & i'm working my way to have him eat a full raw diet... He love everything about raw & his body does well on it!! He also goes crazy for the meaty bones!!! Its less common to see a small dog eating raw ... Its also not as expensive as I thought it would be! ✨ Amazing information, I appreciate this video! 🐾💞

Omg. Omg. This is perfect timing. I am so interested in a diet that is NOT kibble. Thank you!!

I have a 10 year old Yorkshire Terrier. He had gastritis at a young age and I was told to feed him a home made diet by a Vet in France where I was living at the time. He eats cooked poultry white fish and fresh Tuna with some rice and veg.and meaty bones.

Thank you for your video! I have lent my book out that I purchased when my girls were puppies, but j remember reading in their that when dogs chew and eat sticks or tree bark they are lacking something in their diet! I cannot remember what it was that Dr Billingham mentioned. Both of my girls are on a raw diet, and have recently started eating sticks! If anyone can give me any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for the great video ❤

I recently adopted a standard Dachshund puppy in Germany. My husband is active duty in the military. I have conducted research on food for my pet and raised some questions to our German Veterinarian however, they had told me to stop feeding raw (I was mixing puppy wet food with raw food) and to feed him Royal Canin and they told me it was the "best" food to give him. I am looking for a puppy food that provides all the nutrition he needs for his growing body. I am struggling to get an answer. I also went to the American vet on post and they also laughed at me and told me to buy American branded dry foods like Royal Canin and to stop with the wet/raw mix.
Please help, as he is 12 weeks old and I am lost in what I should be doing for his diet.
Thank you and love your channel,
    Alexis and Copper
