My e-brake was sticking and this was the best video that explained how it works. The drawing was pretty self explanatory as there was good detail involved. Then he brought out the actual device and showed how it looks when he pulled the cable which set the picture in motion. Very good and concise video. I wish there were more videos of this quality out there.
Possibility of such a failure can be neglected on a genuine spring because it is in "tension" so when we engage the brake we are actually compression the spring and when we release it will go back releasing the brake shoe, as it is normally in tension. There can be spring failure due to crack which cannot be neglected. Tks You can find us on face book just search Techtrixinfo
is there a probability of a spring failure ? like if u released the cable, the brake shoe are not releasing the disc because of the spring failure ? Thanks
HI this is not a defect , this can happen, they are not mechanically linked, i believe xylo have a electronic parking brake. it can run even the parking brake is on, but it will give you a warning sound. Don't worry you could trust the parking brakes in parking your car on a steep road, this is normal condition. But i really dont know the condition of your vehicle, you should at least call your service centre and talk to the service manger about the problem and get an advice.
HI its used on Back hoe loader construction machine. this one i am holding is a JCB 3DX machine one. Be specific about your requirement will definitely try to help.
so parking brake isn't on the rear wheels it's inside the transmission? how badly does it hurt the car if you use hand brake to do 180 turn, powerslide etc.
Hmm Sry ..i didn't get if you can be specific will try to make a video on that.. you can also connect with us on face book just search for Techtrixinfo
what about drum brakes.????..because in INDIA we are having most of the vehicles with rear brakes as drum brakes and also parking brakes acts on rear brakes.

Thank you very much for the quick and concise explanation. It makes me realize that it is a far simpler mechanic than I had imagined.
Excellent. Just what I was looking for and straight to the point too

Good Video.. Only one question does this arrangement directly fits to the primary brake drums or it always fitted to disc which lock propeller shaft?
can the handbrake cable alone be responsible for the caliper of one wheel to not released?
I hope u that uvl show us the results after stoping the machine theoratically . . . .
Can you upload video about how the automatic handbrake works.
does the handbrake uses the drum brakes on the back tires?

+Okaythen001 the parking brakes are on the rear wheels, to do a 180 w/ the parking brake you have to disable on side of the parking brake.
very clear

It is probably not for convenience vehicle parking brake system.
Not clear,
