Just saw it today in Indonesia.. Jaw Dropping! Need to go again tmmrw. It's just an amazing movie I think, as a 'commoner' CBM fan.. this movie is damn amazing.
This movie was beyond description. Was so good. Black Manta and King Orm were amazing villains!

klegend0 Yeah the theatrical cut. The ultimate heck no. It were parts that could have been cut and edited better as well as some scenes that could have been written better but other than that the film was great not as good as MoS or WW

Great review, Sean. I loved it too. I don't know whether this or WW is my # 1, but the sheer scale and imaginative power of AQ may give it the edge. Also love how much heart the film had... there were several moments in the epic third act where I found myself getting misty eyed. DC is BACK!! Happy Holidays!

Just got back from seeing this film (I'm in the UK). I thought it was FANTASTIC! Probably the most visually spectacular film I've EVER seen with characters I cared about, lots of heart, amazing action and great escapism!

Just watched it today and I gotta say I loved it. It was epic, thrilling, had heart. It was a perfect first movie for Aquaman. And I loved that James wan did not hold back and just went for the kill. Imo it paid off. I have not felt excitement for a superhero movie since man of steel first showed its teaser trailer. The score was brilliant, the acting was excellent, the visuals spectacular, the sheer scale and imagination was mind blowing. Everyone should watch this movie. It was fantastic. I'll be watching it again ASAP.

What a surprise, someone who liked a DC movie. I will be watching it on Friday when it drops over here.
My problem to the movie is Arthur do not really have a Hero theme (unlike Man of Steel and WW that you can really feel for their developlment). It seems i did not heard the soundtrack of the last trailer to the movie. I thought that will be Aquaman's theme... because it was epic.

Man of Steel and BVS featured a ton of growth and heroism with the main characters ...in fact the same heroes journey structure that's in Aquaman was in MOS BVS WW..there's even many parallels in Aqaman to previous DCEU movies..The DCEU was on the right course starting with MOS I'm glad the heroism is continued in Aquaman.

it's literally epic. It was so good, and the build was phenomenal.
What makes it special is each character really can deliver the emotion & reason.. I feel unsatisfied with the duration of their appearance, James wan should give them more portion.. Especially for jason momoa & nicole kidman.. I want more!
I am looking forward to this movie more than I was Justice League last year
You know what works and amazing about this movie, they have light drama and you were about to feel the sadness and emphaty but after the 2 or 3 mins of light drama it will surprise you with an action for 3 to 6 mins then your feeling the rush of the action stunt but r before you can recover it will amaze you with beautiful colors of different kingdoms in the deep. You were so amazed and was about to WoW when all of a sudden you will laugh with aquaman light and simple jokes then drama again in few minutes then action again. It was roller coaster but was arrange beautifuly and done amazingly in order. WELL BALANCE. It works NOT only for comic fans but for Family. You see, there are people who doesn't like light comedy and want it more darker dc and there are people who doesn't want dark but want a light comedy like marvel. It even has light /brief horror, james wan trademark. It was executed amazinly and defines the word "entertainment". Only insane will get bored to this movie lol. Its my first time to watched a film in IMAX twice in a week. I love infinity war and watched it also twice in cinema But not in a week and it didn't give me that feeling of wanting to watch it in IMAX. Avatar is also beautiful but the underwater or war at the deep blue sea, even avatar didnt do that and most of it are just forest which we usually see in other films. It's the first film I know that has underwater war and was done amazingly super love this film. I was more even hype after watching it. Will watch it again next week.💖💕 for those people who hasn't seen the movie, I highly recommend you to watch it on IMAX.
Aqua man was awesome!!! I had a blast watching this movie!!! Next to Wonder Woman this is my second favorite DC movie. Both films were brought to life in such a spectacular way!!!
Aquaman was out like 6 or 7 years before Black Panther. Why should they have to change his backstory?

well u r right even serious first 2 Thor ( with rich mythologies) movies didn't work. they made a comedy visual Ragnarok and it worked

Been using the same analogy. Aquaman is Thor Ragnarok in tone and style/. Light hearted comic book movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. Enjoyed them both

Yes people I think aquaman is right there with wonder woman and if you like action/fantasy movies you will enjoy it...see it and make up your own mind don't listen to critics or go by scores because alot have dumb or biased reasons for bashing this film and if you are gonna go by rotten tomatoes wait for the audience review% for example black panther is 97% but the audience is 79% which is about right.
If you want totally enjoying this film
i have some point you must to do
1. just dont remember how bad dc was, Give it a chance
2. Dont listen the reviewer and just watch

Marvels phase 1 box office was a joke. That's all he's saying. People are quick to call DC films failures in the box office but never actually do a fair comparison. Usually opting to compare what marvel makes after 6-7 years + after gaining the trust of their audience and ignore the fact that iron Man and hulk and Thor, etc barely made anything. Wasn't til years later after avengers that people started overhyping everything Disney put out. I appreciate your honesty man

tell me is there none of mcu movies tried to cramp so much in their movie. im not trolling mcu but their movie is formulic and infinity ia one of the example. after a decade they still using the same formula. but to be honest their movie is good but not great. to be honest none of the live action superheroes movie is great to me. the only great one is spiderman into spider verse. so dont just listen to critics. trust ur senses when watching it
I saw it and spot on 90% of this movie is CGI...I liked it but was disappointed that after an hour into this movie it felt like I was watching a Saturday morning cartoon...4/10😒
