- The final rap up day for my western Illinois fishing excursion. This was probably one of my favorite mini-trips of the year, super chill time filled with many fish including a few decent smallmouth. Can't wait to get back out there in the near future. I defintely encourage you all to get a way for a just a few days and experience some new waters. This was well worth it! Thanks for watching, as always.. keep fishing, never stop!

I just noticed that when you edit your casts, even though they're separate casts you combine it so it all seems like one. Don't know if its intentional, but it keeps it fluid and really works nicely.

new state record broke for small mouth in michigan. it was in lake charlevoix, the bass weighed 9 some pounds and was 23.5 inches. the north is calling you man, head on up here and slay them. awesome video by the way, keep it up.

Jon, you should give a pumpkin football head wobble jig with a 6" chartreuse grub a try. It works well on new areas that I go to.

Should try northern lower Michigan this time of year. Most of the tourists are gone and everyone else is getting ready for hunting season, the lakes are virtually empty. Best chance at huge fall smallmouth. A 9.98lb smallmouth was caught a couple of days ago breaking the Michigan smallmouth record set last year around this time which was 9.33lb.
Should add that 9.98lb is 9lb 15.68 ounces, thanks google!
