    Hello Mitch, how are you?
    I would like to know if the parts you replace from Daikin belong to the customer who buys and you install, or do you resell to your customer?

    3:24 Hi, Mitch nice video
    Back in trade school we were taught POE is backwards compatible, meaning POE oil can be used in a mineral oil system with no issues but mineral oil cannot be used in a POE system.
    Has there been a change that i dont know about 😅

    • @maracservices
      @maracservices  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks mate, appreciate it.
      I got taught that POE oil is not compatible with MO and any mixture will result in unexpected results.
      You might be right though, however I don’t really understand why you could use poe with mo but not vice versa.
      Also, I actually got told to do this by the actual manufacturer a couple years ago. Regardless of all that, I played it safe and just used 100% mineral oil.
      Cheers

    Is there a reason you recovered the refrigerant on the reclaim bottle through the liquid port, or was the vapour port open aswell?

    • @maracservices
      @maracservices  5 месяцев назад

      Hey mate, I’m not to sure what you mean exactly. I just put the suction hose on the only screader available which was on the suction pipe. Then the yellow hose on the gauges went to the inlet of the reclaim unit. Is that what you were asking mate?
      Thanks for watching.

    • @nunya6081
      @nunya6081 5 месяцев назад

      Didn’t word that too well did I haha!
      It looks like you only opened the liquid valve/port on the reclaim bottle, wouldn’t that take longer to recover because of the resistance of the dip tube?

    • @MarcelHVAC
      @MarcelHVAC 5 месяцев назад

      @@nunya6081 Liquid reclaiming is way faster than vapor.

    • @nunya6081
      @nunya6081 5 месяцев назад

      @@MarcelHVACyeah I realise that.
      Would take longer if he was recovering it through the liquid valve on the bottle and not the vapour though.

    I’m thinking it’s either the circuit board or the temp sensor?
    Thanks keep up the good 🤙🏽

    • @maracservices
      @maracservices  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah man. It was for a hotel that has heaps of old unit’s still. As they fail they just want the cheapest option to get it going again. I gave them an option to replace the unit or repair the unit and they chose to repair because you guessed it, it was cheaper.

    • @tready2008
      @tready2008 5 месяцев назад +1

      @MitchAttwood Short term I guess until the next thing breaks. But you can only do so much the customer always knows best haha. I know your opinion would be to change it.

    • @maracservices
      @maracservices  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@tready2008my advice was to absolutely change it. The customer thought we could just put a new outdoor in place and it would be fine but when I told him it doesn’t work like that and we had to change indoor, pipework etc he was like nah just repair haha
