the biggest shopping center in Tirana is TEG and is the biggest shopping center in all of balkans Tirana East Gate you take a bus at Elbasani Street and in 15 minutes you go to new Tirana which is like totally different city but is still Tirana and there is a huge Shopping Center so big Toptani is not even 2% of Tirana East gate shopping Center
As an Albanian Muslim I can say that it is probably possible that sausage in that restaurant is a pork sausage. However do not trust them if they say to you it is Halal food. They have not the culture to be sincere with the client. Maybe you should ask people in the mosck, they will tell you exactly where to find halal food and halal restaurants.

@@Islamlewis I agree with you but for an Albanian it is an offense if you greet him as a Muslim or a Christian. You keep your religion inside your house and greet as they do by tradition. Our tradition is to greet with a hello, a good morning etc. Selam alekum you say it only in the mosque. In our country the priests and imams have fought to divide religion from culture. Our culture is separated from religion and we want to preserve it from religious influences. So you can do what you want but for us Albanians it is an offense. If you want to respect the local culture then don't do it anymore

The restorants lied you! Only restaurants marked HALAL are real halal in Albania. They don't have a clue what halal means. They think that everything that is not pork is halal. Anyway is their fault.

the biggest shopping center in Tirana is TEG and is the biggest shopping center in all of balkans Tirana East Gate you take a bus at Elbasani Street and in 15 minutes you go to new Tirana which is like totally different city but is still Tirana and there is a huge Shopping Center so big Toptani is not even 2% of Tirana East gate shopping Center

As an Albanian Muslim I can say that it is probably possible that sausage in that restaurant is a pork sausage. However do not trust them if they say to you it is Halal food. They have not the culture to be sincere with the client. Maybe you should ask people in the mosck, they will tell you exactly where to find halal food and halal restaurants.

@@halalbalkan I am non Muslim, so I have no idea how halal meat is organized in Albania. But others have told me that many do not respect it, and do not care what they sell under the label "halal", including pork. And I believe it as things happen this way in Albania for different reasons.
