I was at this show. Amazing performance. Years later the lady who would soon be my wife and mother to my children had this video cued up when I arrived at her house after a few days apart. Two magical moments I will never forget.
Best ever SHINING STAR right here, fellow heads. The middle solo is absolutely sacred. Just blessed. Every note, every melodic choice, the tone management, all of it. What a gift to human ears! ❤️👌🏼
The phrasing Jerry is able to come up with in this performance of shining star is just awesome. Truly what sets himself apart from many players. One of his best shows in the later years of his life by far. The Lucky Old Sun at the end is a really special treat to end the show. If I could go back in time this is one place timeI would visit many times over
Wow this is fantastic! When it comes to Dead, I usually stop listening post-Brent but lately I've been realizing how many awesome JGB shows there are from '90-'93
The air was totally blue in the Coliseum on the night they played. I have been to many Shows at The Coliseum over the years, but had never seen that, lol. It was a great night!!
We were there...the call and response at the end of shining star was great....saw many Hampton dead shows. The jgb in 91 with Bruce was a very good show too. That's the beauty of the Internet. You access all this music.....it's a godsend
Indeed! I listen to this Shining Star and it takes me right back to being there. What an incredible run of shows that november. Day before at Richmond was stellar as well... but this shining star was incredible
i love where the video camera was. it reminds me of some of th crazy spots at shows u would end up at. thank you so much for posting this historical rare vid.....
I still have my ticket stub from this show! GA Floor. What a great perspective from the dance floor. The "Eyes Of The Maker" unfortunately gets cut off 2/3 into the song on all of the recordings I have heard. What a shame, because it went on and on, with Jerry's emotions spiraling into the ceiling rafters and glass roof, completely improvised. What a magnificent concert to have attended, I am proud to say. What a night! Lots of great white unperfed paper in the parking lot for the offering, taking; pure fresh clean uncut 'white fluff LSD25' still wet on the unperfed construction paper. Now that will get you to your destination on time. I got dosed before the Richmond show the night before and never looked back.

Just to be in the cathedral with him was as good as it gets. Like going to the best church in the world!!! 91, 93 Hampton, unforgettable
My only Jerry show.... damn I am lucky holy fuck. Does not get any better. And yes I agree, the best church I have ever been.
Thank you for sharing!!

From 57:57 to 1:08:57 is probably the All time best quality 11 minutes of jamming and possibly any kind of music ever heard! Thank you!!!

I was there. I thought the rafters were coming down during Lucky Ole Son with Melvin on the organ.
thank you
Yes it was , I believed it was getting ready to take off a few times. I was at this show, first JGB concert. great gig
Jerry smiling at times throughout end of Shining Star!!!
This show was great. Found a puppy after the show in the lot. then found the puppy's owner the next morning. this whole tour was the best.
That sounds like an example of Jerry's very successful Take a Puppy, Leave a Puppy Campaign.
So much joy at 44:30ish mark! Look at that crew!
Boy, Jerry could just work that high end on Lightning Bolt like no other guitar he played.
I was there also
