Folk seem to forget that Band Maid isn't always frantic paced like Unseen World or the Unleash EP. This song fit in just fine with Band-Maid's style from Just Bring It thru Conqueror. Even On unseen world you get Chemical Reaction, Manners, etc.
I love how it’s Ale and MISA, Dany and Mincho, Akane and Pau, and then it’s Miku alone bringing us back into the song. I’m glad she didn’t disappear in this.
Me too. She is such a vital piece and anytime they can showcase her is very rewarding for us as fans and her I'm sure.

It's really impressive how quickly they threw this together, and how well they were able to mesh in a way that feels true to both of their bands. It does feel more like The Warning to me overall, but then you listen again and Kanami's shredding inaudibly through the whole second verse.

The song was actually started by Kanami and she mostly directed the music for it. It was Kanami that pushed both Saiki and Dany to sing in a higher key than their normal singing voices.
Despite comments from Band Maid fans that it sounds more like a The Warning song and from The Warning fans that it sounds more like a Band Maid song I just take that as proof that it was a successful collaboration and that Kanami can push both bands to get the sound she wants. Both bands had high praise for their counterparts and said they all learned a lot. They also said they would like to do a concert in Mexico so that is something to look for. 🙂

That was a shit ton of fun! No really, it was. Such a powerful song by two groups of phenomenal musicians/performers.
Great reaction and breakdown/analysis. Agreed with your points and it just fun! The more and more I watch it, the more 🔥🔥🔥 it becomes! These bands were fans of each other before the met at Aftershock 2022. And from this meeting, we get to enjoy this AMAZING collaboration. I also love the social media posts from when The Warning was in Japan. They have become great friends. Kanami did an amazing job with the composition, in taking elements from both band and blending it. The evil genius in her is always pushing Band-Maid to do more outside of their comfort zones, so keeping up with the tradition, she pushed both Dani and Saiki with those high belting. LOL...got to love that innocent quiet one, that's actually quite diabolical. 😈🤣🤣🤣 The good news...in the PRS Japan interview, more collaborations mentioned. And a challenge from Dani to Kanami...to have Band-Maid compose and sing a song in Spanish. Fun, fun, fun! PO!🕊 Rock on!🤘😆🤘
Great collaboration enjoyed the two bands jamming out. Appeared they were having a blast. Yes, really low BPS by Band-Maid standards. Left me wanting more.
One thing I realized is that this is going to be a HUGE fan participation song, especially if both bands do it again. Dany invited B-M to Mexico to do another collab, this time written by TW, lyrics in Spanish.
Why? Did Dani sing in Japanese in this song?
I mean, it's a nice challenge for Saiki for sure, but Band-Maid let Dani sing in the language that she is more or less used to singing in anyway this time. So maybe not in Spanish.
@@lurkmerchant What difference does it make? If Saiki doesn't want to sing in Spanish she'll decline the invitation.
I consider that the song has a middle ground, given that both bands have completely different styles... Bandmind's style is faster and fast transitions while The Warning has a slower sound focused on classic rock. The speed of the song seemed to me a middle ground for both bands each from different sides of the globe with totally different languages to combine so well in such a short time, it's a very successful approach. It is the union of both bands and their fans in just under 4 minutes of a great song.

I agree. It's more of a The Warning type song. Band Maid throws in their elite musicianship to match The Warnings dynamic feel.
Yet kanami and miku wrote the original demo.

Reportedly, Kanami composed the music and Miku initially wrote the lyrics. The Warning, being much more fluent in English, subsequently suggested some changes in the lyrics to make them flow better. To me, it sounds like a compromise between their typical styles, as I guess it should being a true collaboration. Agree that it isn’t better than most of the songs in The Warning’s catalog. 😎👍
Kanami created the demo, and then both bands worked back and forth together to create the finished product.

A follow up would be great, especially if it’s in Japanese and Spanish which would allow for rapid fire lyrics and more manic music

And ironically(?), Spanish would be somewhat easier, at least with the letter R, for Japanese speakers. ETA: Also a bilingual non-English banger is what the world needs.

Music collaborations have a habit of being pretty average, but Kanami composed and arranged in a sort of The Warning style to accommodate both bands. No disrespect, but not sure The Warning or many other bands could manage playing something like Different or Black Hole. Currently I'm not sure that I've seen Dani playing any real complex guitar solos, but does do good classic rock style. Great reaction- Thanks. (UK)
I think that Band-Maid fans generally like The Warning, but the opposite isn't necessarily so. I'm not sure that Warning-only fans like this collab, but maidiacs and dual citizens tend to. 🤔
I am a good example (I think). A fan of TW who never heard a full song by BM. So for me the collab is a good song but not mind blowing. But I look forward to their next project in Mexico if it actually happens.

@@arctic_haze You should listen to a couple full songs by BM. I am a fan of both bands and while this is a good song, it isn't in the Top 100 for Band-Maid or the Top 50 for The Warning.

Don't just "end it with the bass". End it with the clsing notes of the Warning's "Survive" from 2017.
It’s funny that you felt more of a Warning vibe, I’ve heard several reactors say this, but this just speaks volumes of Kanami’s abilities since she wrote the song before The Warning even arrived and oversaw the production.
THE WARNING should have the Rock Album of the Year & Best song for Sharks .. Keep me Fed is new / fresh brilliant.. Band Maid is awesome too.. 🤘🎶+🌎✌️
Warning is a very good team. But Band Maid is a powerhouse.
They were really good together, but Band Maid didn't want to "beat down" Warning.

One of the coolest things about this collab is that both B-M and TW fans tend to feel it sounds like the _other_ band. So A) both bands have distinctive sound/vibes, but B) more interestingly, what is it that makes those distinctive sounds? I wonder if it's more the production than structure or style.
Great rock song but the japanese female bandmaid voices are not my styles. This song is all over the place. but as a collab .. OK.
When #1 in Japan collabs with #1 in Mexico...the result is as expected, perfection. BTW, is that Kanami's new PRS Custom? Despite her endorsement by PRS, I doubt that Paul gifted her that $13,000+ axe.
