Both bands are great, and it's not fair to compare them. The collaboration is labeled as "Band-Maid WITH The Warning," not "featuring The Warning," highlighting their equal partnership. It's fantastic to see non-English-speaking bands breaking stereotypes. I hope Band-Maid visits Mexico for at least one concert in 2025 with TW
Seems like it would happen. A couple of days ago I watched an interview with Kanami and Dany, for PRS-Japan (it also got cc), and it seem like B-M are planning to do the same in Mexico in the future. How soon? Hard to tell. At least Dany was hoping the maids who come and visit them.
@@andreaspedersen3952 I think they both encouraged/invited each other to visit their respective countries. It seems ever since they bumped into each other at a festival a couple years ago and were mutually surprised and delighted to discover they were fans of each other's music, a collab - and probably more than one, if recent statements stand true - was kind of inevitable.
Bear in mind that Kanami wrote this song with the Warning collaboration in mind. Miku wrote the lyrics. Of course there was some back and forth with the Warning to smooth out some of the English words & phrasing, along with some changes to individual instruments to help suit the band as well. Absolute genius. A true collaboration. Not a duel, or a battle, as so many reactors try to make out in their commentary. So your words are really appreciated. There is no comparison needed. Both of these bands are fantastic. They are friends and have huge respect for each other. Let's hope for a full blown tour with these 8 badass ladies.
Don’t fear the fanbases, apart from a few exceptions they appreciate this. The song is an excellent blend, and both groups wanted precisely this. There’s an interview out just today with all eight on Billboard Japan that explains the process. It’s obvious that they want to learn from each other and really appreciate each other. Both groups are made up of individuals who want all the others to shine. It’s teamwork, and making stuff work. Of course it’s easier for them if they do it both bands on their own, but hey, they don’t do easy, they love a challenge and they vibe because they sense that they share the same passion for hard work and musicianship. I’m sure they’ll do some more in the future, and they will get better at their own separate stuff because of it.
Only saw one review that was not real positive. Dude was hung up on their outfits. Had no concept of the Japanese anime culture. Referee to the ladies in maid outfits as "twinkies". Hated Dany's outfit. Complain about Pau not leading the performance. I think I am done with his reactions.
from JAPAN. I agree 100% with what you say. This song is not a comparison of two bands. It all started when a group of young, talented girls became friends at a festival and decided to play together sometime. To say that this is not The Warninng or that this is not BAND-MAID without considering the significance of the collaboration is just plain silly. If that is the case, all you have to do is listen to the individual band's music. These girls are experimenting, in a sense, to see what they could sound like and what kind of music they could create if they played together. Each band may seem similar, but they are very different. This is just the first song. The girls have said they want to do more with each other, so I have high hopes for the future. If you are a fan of these girls, you should warmly support them.
This just fu*kin rocked hard simple as that...a blend of TW and BM that works quite well...yes I used the word blend...deal with it! They worked together and made one hell of a song that even this late 40s guy can love. Oh and OSN...thanks for the reference to that lil three piece band from my country...Canada, speaks volumes.
You hit it on the head when you mentioned peanut butter and Jelly. Distinctly different, yet They go together very very well. Either one makes a good sandwich. Together, you either love it or not so much. I loved this collaboration. Obviously written and composed by Band Maid, but with the Warning in mind. I really enjoyed this video concept. It highlighted each members abilities w hole showing the contrasting styles united together into a pretty darn cool song. I would not be surprised if this wins a few awards along the way..
The only way to truly show just how incredible each band is would be to give them space and time. 3 minutes isn’t enough time but they did a great job. I’m hoping they get a chance to. For now, you have to settle for the live debut in Japan to truly appreciate the hand offs on stage. Incredibly technical, handled brilliantly.
The entire song is a musical conversation between BAND-MAID and The Warning, in exactly the same way MISA and Kanami have bass/guitar "conversations" on stage. Nobody is "battling" here.
Music isn't a competition and neither is their collaboration. They like and admire each other. Dany has invited BM to Mexico and light heartedly said they will teach BM to sing a song in Spanish. We have that to look forward to maybe in 2025?
Great comment! Great analysis! Probably the best analysis that we could ever get for this MV. Thanks (from long time BAND-MAID fan & relatively new Warning fan from Tokyo)
You are so spot on! There is no comparison, this whole song is about cooperation and reaching new heights. No egos, just pure admiration and support for everyone on the stage. As far as you upsetting someone, well, that's bound to happen. You are you, and this is the internet. Someone is always upset about something. Me, I'm just gonna sit here and enjoy this beautiful creation they have given us.
You are absolutly right - there is no need for a comparison. They worked together - it's a real collaboration of two bands which admire the other. They fit like a glove and it sounds great. I agree with your analysis. Thank you!
These two bands truly respect and enjoy each others merits, so please FANS of either or both, take note. There is no and never was any competition between them, let's all just enjoy them. You sir have again given us listeners perhaps the BEST reaction of many many.
I have been a maidiac for since 2014, same year I became a moomoo, being in Japan somehow linked me to the best japanese rock band and the best Kpop vocal group, my favorite rock band in the world. This is the very first time I have ever heard The Warning and now I am going to start buying albums because I know I will love the music, because they are on the same level of extreme talent and performance as band maid. This is why I like reaction videos, I do not listen to radio or spotify etc. I buy from Itunes and the way I find new music is exactly like this, someone reacting to a group I like and leading to another group. Found Bloodywood this way, the Warning, I even found Dua Lipa because of her collab with Hwasa in mamamoo, of which I saw a reaction too. Kudos to all the reaction content provided by people like @oldskulenerd, the best way to get introduced to new bands and music.

I didn't go into this with comparison in mind. I know their music is completely different styles. And you touched on something that I feel clarifies something for me, that they each had to pull back a little from their normal way of writing and playing. What i find about this song, overall is that each band could have written a better song on their own, something more technical and something catchier. But I appreciate the collaboration and I know that this isn't a simple feat. This all takes extreme talent to pull off. I wish the best for both bands.
I‘m a huge fan of both bands for more than 3 years now. Seeing them both together really makes me happy. Hard to describe, but the first time a saw this video brought tears of joy to my eyes!
Thanks again from Japan 有難う。 I witnessed the live debut of this song 😍 that was played as the encore & finale of the special concert by Band-Maid & The Warning on June 12 in Roppongi, Tokyo . My seat was located on the 2nd floor but in the center meaning in front of the two drummers. I was in bliss! It looked to me that Paulina and Akane literally and happily competed like a duel to see which drummer can kick harder enough to break their bass drum in the joint performance. 🤣
My two favorite rock bands in the world today. If there are people trying to pit them against each other, as you said, those people are the only losers. It's obvious the two bands respect each other. And yes, you are spot on, they had to step back a little to leave room for everyone. They are not going to do whole shows are an album together. This is a treat for both groups' fans. Nothing more.

The Warning has 2 huge, 10,000 capacity concerts in Mexico City in February. Although they are basically sold out and an opener has already been announced this would be a great time for Band-Maid to visit and play this live
I love the lyrics. I have missed the spirit of "this is who we are and fu if you don't like it" they used to put into Survive and Narcisista. A little injection from Japan brings that fiesty attitude back.
Yes! There is no competition here! There were no battles on that stage, just coordinated playing to the betterment if the song. By the way, I was at the show they did together in Tokyo! I hope they release the live version soon! The drum parts were more impressive live. Don't get ne wrong, the video is excellent. Niw, I'm off ti see the Warning 5 times in 4 countries over the next few months. Also, this is your best reaction so far.
But you have to imagine, they did this together in 2 weeks. Before that, many lyrics and audio files will probably have changed between Mexico and Japan.
I've been a fan of both bands for years and have seen both live. Both bands have been around for about the same number of years +/-. What I will say is that the members of Band-Maid are roughly 10 years older than the members of The Warning and as mature as DPA are, the difference is clear. That's one of the reasons I'm so happy this collab happened. A year or so from now we're going to start hearing the influences each band had on the other as they write and release new songs. I can't wait. I think and hope it will be like the ways that Halestorm and The Warning influenced each other - especially Lzzy and Dany. I can hear Lzzy's influence in Dany's vocals. The Warning and especially Dany breathed new life into Lzzy. That's what the guitar was all about, in my view. All of which is a long-winded way to say that this collaboration will bear fruit for years. On top of a fun song and video.
Hello man, Excellent comments. In the fandom you will always find some stupid people who seem to want to start a war between countries... Yes, they can be that stupid. BM and TW are two super bands that have a lot of talent but in my opinion in different areas. The BM are technically more virtuoso with their instruments (Said by Dany, Paul and Ale) and they make a very fast and overloaded J-rock. On the other hand, TW are more to my Western Anglo-Latin taste, emotional, reflective. TW's melody lines and harmonic voices are unmatched. That simple. This collaboration is made from the admiration and affection that exists between both bands. It is a song composed by BM basically tailored to BM, a little shouted and above the tone that suits TW best. But everyone is happy for the artistic fact.
As a huge fan of both bands, I absolutely *LOVE* this collaboration between them. It takes parts of both of their signatures, and blends them together in a way that celebrates both bands, and the mutual respect and liking they have for each other. so. good. :)
The one thing, beyond comparison of these two bands is you can see how much fun they are having doing this and how into it they are. Not to mention, great message! Compare if you want, but I'm sure, either way, they loved doing it and the outcome.
Excellent analysis, I share it... it would have been much better to have a longer song that allowed to show more sections between both bands, but still, what they did was great.
Great reaction! Thanks!
Loved your reaction. It's tempting to say if you didn't pis somebody off, you didn't do it right, but nah. You did it right man. Great commentary on a great song. When two great bands get together, bands who admire each other and want to collaborate, we get great music. There were a few parts in the video that had me scratching my head, in particular the three street scenes featuring (mostly) The Warning girls. Not sure how that figures into the overall video nor what the take away is supposed to be. Did you catch those parts? Any thoughts?
I think the point of the song was to have fun: Band-Maid, The Warning, and the fans! I was surprised at how Dany could match Saiki's voice, at times it was hard to pick them apart.
If you saw the live version Dany had no problems reaching the higher notes, but admittedly shes more accustomed to singing in English - I'll leave it there.
Yeah, as others say, Saiki had to go to her limits (which we appreciate and like) in this song while Dany had no issues. Thing is that Dany has a huge range and power but she normally shows it more on vlogs and few songs like Hell You Call A Dream, Choke and Sinister Smiles (I might forget others). But they have completely different styles so it was nice to hear and watch them together.
Just a great song from two amazing bands. They looked like they were having a great time playing together. I'm just impressed they managed to blend them together so well.
Hi Nerd(s) 😉, it's a beautiful song, not a great song. This is a BANDMAID song and if you listen closely I notice that BM probably made her solo parts stand out a bit more. But it's not about who is better, it's more about the mutual respect and the fun that both bands obviously had. And that's ultimately what it's all about. I like it. Greets from Germany 💖⚡⚡⚡
I think this is a great hybrid of both bands styles, and sound. Yes, it’s pulled back a bit because it has to be, so no fan of either group will say it’s that group’s best… but it’s still a great song. That’s the most important thing.
The two bands met at a festival last year in the States and obviously appriciated each others music and attitudes, so Band maid invited them over for a mini tour and this colab song. looks like Band Maid have been invited to mexico and Danny has challenged them to do a song in Spanish. I'm in my late 40's like you this is a great time to be into music. but we did get super bands as full on colabs Oldskule. Cream, Them Crooked Vultures, Audioslave, Velvet Revolver for example. :)
Excellent reaction and analysis! I appreciate you not making it a comparison and just enjoying the music. I will say that after listening to Nemophila's new song G.O.D. and Lovebite's new song Unchained, Band-Maid and The Warning's song Show Them sticks to the ribs more. It's a wonderful collaboration and great song!
good music is good music, no need to compare. these two bands together on this song sounded like they could be a full time band. the bad part of the song was when it ended. that's what repeat is for.
Good call man, I am just now getting into Band Maid but this song has triggered my curiosity, but I am well deep in the Warning! Does this mean you are doubly warned?

East meets West
TWA loves you. Screw the haters. Awesome reaction as always!
This video shouts "Women Power"!
We have to enjoy! This Is like a comet once in a lifetime évent. Let the girls rock!!!
Watch The Warning's First Time In Japan vlog if you haven't already.
🤟😎🖤♨️⚡and the Rock gold medall is to .... 🇲🇽& 🇯🇵🥇🥇
Thanks!
I was looking forward to you finding this.
🤘🤘
Loved your reaction. It's tempting to say if you didn't pis somebody off, you didn't do it right, but nah. You did it right man. Great commentary on a great song. When two great bands get together, bands who admire each other and want to collaborate, we get great music.
There were a few parts in the video that had me scratching my head, in particular the three street scenes featuring (mostly) The Warning girls. Not sure how that figures into the overall video nor what the take away is supposed to be. Did you catch those parts? Any thoughts?
Great review
I think the point of the song was to have fun: Band-Maid, The Warning, and the fans! I was surprised at how Dany could match Saiki's voice, at times it was hard to pick them apart.
Did you see the live version?
If you saw the live version Dany had no problems reaching the higher notes, but admittedly shes more accustomed to singing in English - I'll leave it there.
Yeah, as others say, Saiki had to go to her limits (which we appreciate and like) in this song while Dany had no issues. Thing is that Dany has a huge range and power but she normally shows it more on vlogs and few songs like Hell You Call A Dream, Choke and Sinister Smiles (I might forget others). But they have completely different styles so it was nice to hear and watch them together.
I guess that you refer to the match itself (more than any power or escale). Yes, It was hard to pick who was singing without looking
@@MG-cx7fd yes, for the brief time it was available
Well said..
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Just a great song from two amazing bands. They looked like they were having a great time playing together. I'm just impressed they managed to blend them together so well.
Hi Nerd(s) 😉, it's a beautiful song, not a great song. This is a BANDMAID song and if you listen closely I notice that BM probably made her solo parts stand out a bit more. But it's not about who is better, it's more about the mutual respect and the fun that both bands obviously had. And that's ultimately what it's all about. I like it. Greets from Germany 💖⚡⚡⚡
You think too much,…… yes there different god bless…….thats the awesomeness of the colab.
Perfect call brother 😂
🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥
Good to hear that this has you looking into Band Maid. As a fan of both groups I hope you enjoy it.
Enjoy your journey down the BAND-MAID Pigeon hole , check out BAND-MAID`s song Warning .
Check out the live video for Hate? Outstanding song
As someone who loves both bands, have fun. Why enjoy just a few bands when there are many out there after all?
Best analysis and commentary of this collaboration song on the Internet.
And before those 3 guys from Canada, was those 3 guys from Flint, Michigan! :D
Good job!!. I love mangoes...
