I think this really depends how much you practice and what your learning. If you barely practice (about 20 mind a day), then you won't really develop much or quickly. And if you don't learn many new things or ever try to learn anything that challenges you, you also won't improve. For anyone who's not at her level even if you have played longer, remeber that this is about dedication and effort. Quality over quantity.
I think it depends on your set goals. 20 minutes might be long for one person but for another person will practice a minimum of 2 hrs a day. It's all about sacrifices
I think your quality of practice matters more than the amount of time you practice. You would learn much faster if you practiced 20 minutes a day efficiently than if you practice for 2 hours just mindlessly running through your pieces.
My piano is not just extreme pleasure. My piano is the realization of immortality and the realization that everything is heaven. When you realize that, it's so good, it's infinitely good. It's not just good. It's good to the infinite degree. It's so much goodness that you can't contain it. your body can't hold it. Your entire body shakes and shudders in a cosmic orgasm of bliss. It's perfection. It's total peace. It's absolute love, that's truly my piano.
If you’re willing to sacrifice the time to practice, you’ll be surprised how fast you can really learn. Muscle memory 👌 I’ve always found it easier to try and learn songs I’m familiar with because it feels more rewarding when you start to slowly piece it together. I wish you the best in learning to play!
My 8th year too and, I don't im in a level of a person who's been playing piano for 8 years. I can play pieces like interstellar cornfield chase and moonlight sonata 3rd
54 years old guy. If all goes well next week I'll have my first piano keyboard. Never touched a piano in my entire life... Looking forward for day one! ;-)

Greetings 🙏 your piano video just popped up and you’re planing very good 👍 I’m also learning from my Mother, we’ve a keyboard style piano at home, piano is one of my main goal musical instrument, everyone please pray for me to play Chopin level music notes and all this young lady just played. God bless us all 😇🙏❤️
The progress depends on both effort and enthusiasm. I started in November 2021, a month after I turned 16. Now I can play things like the Rachmaninoff 2nd and 3rd concertos(Ossia Cadenza), Liszt's Transcendental Études(all except Feux Follets), Chopin études(other than the notorious double thirds and chromatic études, which I'm working on), many of Liszt's lesser-known(but not at all that easy in general) works like his paraphrases, along with some of Horowitz's transcriptions(namely, the Carmen Variations, his version of the Danse Macabre and his barnstorming arrangement of Hungarian Rhapsody No. 15, the Rakóczy March). I usually warm up with improvisations on classical themes and things like my own fantaisie, along with scales and octaves.
It’s also abt ppl that don’t continue to practice more challenging pieces. Like if you only practice to keep things sharp and to always sound good you’re never going to get better. But if you spend the time being ass at a song and improving it, eventually you get better
I’m three days into playing the piano ❤ I feel like it’s so much easier to make time to learn it now that I’m working a 9-5 and not in school wondering “What do I need to be studying for next”
I learned fur Elise after 3 years (8 years old) then Rachmaninoff bells of Moscow when I was (16 - present time) . I have no idea how you learn fantasie impromptu after 5 years but well done I guess 🤣
For the people feeling bad that they’re not on the level corresponding to the level in this video. Just take in mind that the amount of years someone has played says very little about how much time they actually put into their playing. I’d have days were I’m behind the piano or guitar for 5+ hours just because I like it so much, of course like that some people are gonna be better after the same amount of years. You’re only really gonna improve if you really like playing music and don’t practice cuz you have to but cuz you want to.
I've been playing for 6 years and am somewhere between the 1 year and 5 year mark. But i have to say, i only really started putting in dedication and effort for the past year or 2, so i can't rlly compare
respect for her wearing the same outfit for 15 years 🤩

this is so true.. thank you

Whats a good amount of time to be practicing a day?

it’s not that hard as long as you learn techniques. you got this! 🎉
