Stunning! I truly enjoyed this and learned from it, too. --> I have videos like this on in the background when I'm doing tedious household chores, which helps move those necessary chores faster. The music isn't too loud when I listen as I'm dusting.
Plague, was my first thought,, when the skeleton was dated to the mid thirteenth century. When you think about the amount of the English population that died of the plague in such a short period, there was little likelihood the corpses could have been handled in an organized manner. It is surprising to me, that this is the first discussion I am aware of, relating to a burial ground confirmed to be related to the plague.
I know a fair amount about the Black plague and effects of diseases on populations in the past. This is very, very good. FYI there was considerable, intelligent, debate about the causes of the 1348pandemic as recently as 20 years ago. DNA settled the debate firmly: yes, yersenia pest is was the cause. Later finds have demonstrated several other plagues, such as Justinian around 536, were also yersenia. This adds so much forensic data..
People still want to go to heaven. The “boxes they have to tick” are the same now as then: believe Jesus is God come to earth as a perfect man, believe Jesus took the punishment for our sins at his death on the cross, believe Jesus raised from the dead and returned to heaven to prepare a place for those who believe and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Abrahamic Mythology has been around a long time. It's the same now as it was then: My god is the best God, believe in my god or go face eternal punishment. People still killing/dying in the name of God. Some things never change.
@@mike79patton sad you feel that way. You are an eternal being and you get to choose where you spend eternity. Jesus died for you. No other god did that.
@@mike79patton Jesus had no sins. He did die for you, but since He gives you a choice you don’t have to accept His salvation. That would be a poor choice, though, because eternity awaits us all.
Why such loud music.
Had to agree, volume of music ruined this otherwise excellent podcast, shame
Ditch the music!!
It’s quite annoying and overpowering.
Real History, This is great! I liked it and subscribed!
I put CC on so I can read what is spoken because of the music. Turn it down.

What and interesting story, makes one wonder what can be found under our feet.
Oh my God! It's really easy to fix the sound. Lazy documentary.
Lost me, unsubscribed ,the music so loud.
Your useless background music literally drowns out the entire narrative and is irritating.
how come after digging up the bodies nobody gave them CPR or made any attempt to revive them
What's with the OTT ridiculous MOOD music....are the producers 20 y.o.'s? Even if it's OK to watch not poss to do a thumbs up.
I love the music. It adds a lot to the. visual and verbal, for me. 2:54 ❤
How can you tell the sex of the skeleton if you don’t know how the deceased identified? 😂
Use hip bone opening, skull formation, DNA analysis to get the sex of the bodies.
@@marciaspiegel5280 no shit.
